Title: How good is it to deal with Gox ? need some advice
Post by: thenoblebot on January 12, 2014, 04:09:49 AM
Lets say one wants to sell a BTC on Gox :
1) How long does the verification take ?
2) If one sells then does the money come to your linked bank account or does one need to do something extra for that ?
3) Do local bank officials ask/do things which might get a person into trouble after money is received from Gox (foriegn entity so maybe something/law applies) ?
4) How long does the wire transfer from Gox take to reach your bank account ?

The time for selling bitcoins on Mt Gox is long since over. Please do not put yourself through the trauma. Surely there are other options available.

4) Somewhere between 3 months and forever.

Really ? Then where else you suggest to sell (other than localbitcoins ofcourse) ? Also keeping in mind that would expect a good/better price

There are allegations Coinbase has links with Feds. So only reputable ones left are Bitstamp and btc-e. The price on Mt. Gox is so high and inflated because it's that hard to move fiat out of there. Bitstamp rates are realistic. Other than that, as you said, localbitcoins

Hmm thanks for the reply ... I was considering Mt Gox because of the price aspect of it but will be weary of what you said about taking time ... the others one would get a fairly less price that is why I think ill stay out of other exchanges. So localbitcoins seems the safest bet for now I guess.
