Title: What pool do you use? I'm just curious as to which pools you use, and how they have been working out for you.

Usually evenly dividing up the hashing power between them in 3-5 ghash clusters.
If there's new PPS pools I try those out for a few weeks. I'll consider rfcpool because they have PPLNS now. I will try anything new that has pure PPS or PPLNS. Title: Re: What pool do you use? Im a statwhore, and would like to see how my GHashies are put to work. Their stats own everyother pool out there, and i've seen some! I was doing PPS before, but i cant see that being sustainable over the long run, so i switched over to PPLNS, which RFC reverted too. Must say, after a few shorties, we are having a little bit of a bigger one, which can only mean it will get so much better after that! @46-55GH now, so we could use some more extra hashies! As for payouts, I've only been running it for a night, so it's too early, but I will be going to rfc if I become unhappy. I don't have the hashing power to effectively go to proportional mining. Unless I'm wrong about that though, I just thought that proportional was more for large mining operations. Title: Re: What pool do you use? Last round i got 0.002% stales for a pretty long block. If your miners are in order, your stales should be even lower there. Title: Re: What pool do you use? Post by: wknight on September 04, 2011, 11:02:29 PM I myself have moved from Slush to rfcpool.com. I had so many issues with Slush's pool i felt I was being cheated. But that could be my server talking to their server.
I am very happy with rfcpool. Specially since I have gotten so much help in the irc channel. Great people. As far as trust it means a lot. There website makes things very transparent. So you know your getting what you should be getting. Not stolen hashes or such. Very up to date. Title: Re: What pool do you use? I've move to rfcpool and I +1 to all of you that recommended RFCpool PS- The excessive "!"'s and etc were a little much, but I really like the pool. Thanks for the suggestions. So far this has been very well done. Well in the last block, I made about 1.5 times my estimated amount, that's also after my donation. I also can't knock that in ~4000 shares, I've gotten 0 stales. The 150SLC is a darn good deal, but I have a mere <200 m/hash and would barely dent the Hash rate. I'll take a look into it if I can put together a bit of a better rig. And with my current knowledge, any pool could steal some shares to me (and I expect that some do). Post by: madnod on September 14, 2011, 07:35:31 PM used slush then recently moved to RFC, i like RFC more than slush and i am having larger payouts (not sure if it's the difficulty drop) any way RFC site is much better.

Then again I run it (and programmed the simplecoin interface). The entire pool is open source (not just based on open-source), the bitcoin transaction log is viewable (no cheating possible), and 0% fees. The new beta front-end allow you to choose your pool & payout method. Currently PPLNS and Proportional pools are available, with SMPPS on the way. Davinci's NameCoin pool. For now (and probably until merged mining is implemented in 147 blocks) he is letting his users choose if they want to get NameCoin or Bitcoin for there shares. He pays 0.00003 per share, about 20% more than deepbit or any other pool and he pays them out of his own pocket !!! Check it out !
