Title: Klodike K16 up to 7GH?
Post by: mpac on January 12, 2014, 09:56:54 PM
Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum, maybe you can help me with a little problem I'm having: I recently bought a Klondike K16. Seller stated it can reach 4,5 - 7GH, but it barely achieves 4,4GH. Is it really possible to overclock it through CGMiner so it reaches 7GH? Or it is a seller overstatement to say that?

Thank you all for your time :)

you have to set the clock speed on it.

On your comand line you start  cgminer with  add

 "--klondike-options 350:50"

350 is the clock speed,   50 is the target temp shut off.

you can set the clock speed from 282 - 375  i do believe.  The higher the clock speed  the more Gh/s you will get from it.   I run mine at 342.   The higher the clock speed  the hotter it will run,  add more fans blowing on the bottom if it starts to run to the point of shut off.

you can find out more info on the K16  at http://projectklondike.org

Did a search for you, and found this following thread.

try adding --klondike-options 350:65 to your .bat file. I use this for all 3 of my Klondike K16's and I get 5.5-5.6Gh/s each. If you need more help let me know.

thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to try it
No problem. I let mine run at that speed for a week and they ran stable so I bumped it up to 360:65 and pointed a box fan at the back to help with cooling, now all 3 together avg 17.05Gh/s.

Maybe you can try to use --klondike-options 360:65 and hopefully you will get ~5.7GH/s.

with clock speed at 342  i get between 6 and 7 Gh/s,  more towards the low 6  but it will spike over 7 depending on the pool im using.

Good to hear that.
It seems your K16 is working much better than the one I found in that thread lol.  :)
