Title: What to do with mining chips?
Post by: sase007 on January 12, 2014, 10:33:53 PM
Hi,
I have a question:
If I buy some of (for example) these chips:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=411848.0

What should I do with them? What is the look of this hardware? Is it only microprocesor or some desk?

What else should I have to make them mine? :D

How to assembly them? No tutorial no google found :(

Sorry, I am newbie in non-grafic card mining...

Thanks.

Ps. do not laught please ! :D

You will need good soldering skills, Do you have a solder kit and tools?

you really need a reflow oven, if you are not aware of that I would guess it is probably beyond you.

However if you are really that keen then read through the klondike thread in the custom hardware thread as I believe the k16 is almost ready to go for 2 nd gen Avalon

If you're asking this question, you shouldn't be buying the chips.

It's like buying the pistons out of a car engine off eBay and then starting to build your own car to put them in.

When you buy chips you need like an engineer to make the project than an expert who assembles miner.
PS: not every chips will work as you expect.

true.

- electronical worker that it can build the FTDI interface and voltage control and regulator (with an expensive software to root the track).
- chimistery worker (factory) that it can sold with wave, the card
- same or other chimistery that it can apply the isolator or multiple layer

... and all of this ? IT VERY expensive for a private consumer ... because, me, i build somes PCB with picaxe for batteries monitoring (i known the price of this work).
