Not a surprising thing which blockchain tech would always be a breakthrough when it comes to innovation which can really be applied into most sectors of a certain ecnomy of a certain country.Im notsurprised that they do disregard cryptocurrencies which this is somehow i anticipated for them to make such action. In this case, other countries might consider to have the same step if they do saw good development or progress being given on such innovation.

Blockchain is only as decentralized as the ownership or control of the nodes--both blockchains and cryptocurrencies can be quite centralized. So the Chinese adopting blockchain is not averse to the state's control.

They're only showing that they don't understand that BTC and blockchain are inseparable. Andreas Antonopoulos gave a nice example that BTC and Blockchain are the engine and body of a car, you can't have one without the other. I'd take this as positive news because if this adoption keeps progressing they will eventually have to unban BTC and let the economy do its thing. The demand will be overwhelming.
