Title: Asic Cube switches off after short time Post by: kovert on January 14, 2014, 10:55:24 AM I have a problem with my cube
I have taken it all apart and tightened the heatsink screws and re seated the boards It runs off a Corsair cx750 M It will run for a undetermined time and re set itself ( Here a clicking sound ) Exact same sound as when it starts on Normally runs for around a couple of hours before this happens There are no errors on the chips all say 0000000 Running at 93% efficiency I know a few of you are having the same problem but I couldn't see the cause or solution to this If anyone can help me I would be most gratefull Title: Re: Asic Cube switches off after short time Post by: HellDiverUK on January 14, 2014, 11:03:16 AM It runs off a Corsair cx750 M There's your problem. Mine wouldn't work at all off my Corsair, or off an old Dell PSU, or off a 30A bench supply. It does work fine off a cheap OCZ 600W PSU, though. Title: Re: Asic Cube switches off after short time Post by: kovert on January 14, 2014, 11:19:50 AM Hmm I was recommended the 750 I did try a 450 before and that blew up straight away
People on the forums say they run 2 off the 750 what would you recommend? Thanks Title: Re: Asic Cube switches off after short time Post by: HellDiverUK on January 14, 2014, 01:32:49 PM A lot of people run them off the CX750. Mine doesn't work off my CX750 at all.
Try and find a single rail PSU, or one that has 2 rails of at least 25A a piece. The OCZ 600W I have has two 25A 12V rails, and it works fine. It'll actually run the Cube off one rail at Low speed. It's a OCZ ModXStram Pro 600W (OCZ600MXSP-UK). It was the cheapest 'decent' PSU I could get off Amazon. |
