Title: Change Location of Armory's AppData Folder
Post by: Deverol on January 14, 2014, 02:19:57 PM
Hi there,
I tried to search the problem, but couldn't find a solution.

At the moment, Armory has saved its database on my C: drive, which is rather impractical, as the drive is a small SSD and saving blockchains and databases on it doesn't make sense, also the drive is full. I figured out how to change the data location/ home directory of Bitcoin-Qt and now basically want to to the same with Armory. Is there any way this can be done?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: By coincidence I figured it out by myself: On the troubleshooting (http://"https://bitcoinarmory.com/download/troubleshooting/") page of the Armory website are some command line options listed, included the one to change the home directory.

Can you explain how you did that? Thanks!

The link should be https://bitcoinarmory.com/download/troubleshooting/

You could find the following in the "Command-Line Options" on that page.

You can get a full list of terminal options by running Armory from the command line with “--help”. Here is the output with abridged comments

--settings=PATH # Path to Armory settings file
 --datadir=PATH # Armory home directory
 --satoshi-datadir=PATH # Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind home
