Title: US is getting hit with disasters.
Post by: pekv2 on September 05, 2011, 02:15:25 PM
Hurricanes, floods, wildfires and tornadoes.

US getting hit hard. They were saying because of the east coast had to shutdown, 15-20% tax revenue was lost. But damn, The US is taking a toll.

What are your guy's thoughts? I think its only going to get worse, specially this is the beginning of hurricane season.

Well, something sure seems amiss. So either that, or someone's playing around with HAARP, or we're just living in a time of incredible coincidences.

I blame the fallout from Japan.

And yeah, I think it'll get worse. I'm tempted to bet that it will peak around November 2012.

There does seem to be a lot of bad stuff this year, but keep in mind that all the 24 hour news needs something to cover, and nothing gets people's attention like bad news.

Also 30,000 acres is only 50 square miles, which is less than .02% the area of Texas.  But hey, a big number sounds better.

Out of curiosity, what do you think all the news agencies would talk about if there were 1) no disasters, 2) no governments?  I think that would almost completely starve them of source material.

I think this is a much below average year.  The east coast hurricane was a dud, and that is the only hurricane we have had.  The drought in Texas is probably worse than the fires.  The tornados were a very big deal, I heard the insurance companies had to pay out more for that than Katrina.

I'm sure they've got a closet full of porn tapes and craigslist photos to keep them occupied during those rough times.

Or they'd have to find some other source material.  Like fraudulent business practices.

I once suggested to my grandfather that perhaps the earth is some sort of a living organism that will adjust to remain in balance, and that's why there are earth quakes, tsunamis, lavines and other disasters. It was just a tought and a suggestion, but he looked at me like I was insane, and frankly he became quite upset.

Now, I don't believe in God. I believe in logic and science. Yet, organisms have good adaption abilities, and in a larger scale we see eco systems that have cycles over the years. I don't know too much about this, a scientist would be able to tell more about it, but it's an interesting though that if humans misused earth and disturbed the balance, that the earth somehow would strike back and regain the balance. No matter how much weapons we have, and how advanced technology we have, we can't protect ourselves 100% against the forces of nature.

The more logical thing would probably be to think that all disasters are just coincidences though. Some years, some countries will just have a lot of disasters in a row.

Yeah, there is balancing mechanism in human race, but we override those. In Africa we need to just let people die of hunger and on other hand in Western Countries of Diabetes and other diseases. Not very popular or at all ethical, opinion and personaly wouldn't like it either. Still disasters and such are one way to fix the overpopulation and limit certain areas livability. Now we are just out of balance.

You do know that HAARP is not the only ionospheric heater in the world right?  The US actually has 3.  Besides, I doubt the US would use it against itself...at least not intentionally.  I have always been more worried about what the repercussions of the high altitude nuclear testing we did years ago.

Nothing that is beyond the variation of averages, as far as storms go.  Earthquakes worldwide, however, is another issue.  Remember that tsunamis are caused by undersea earthquakes and try to remember the very first tsunami that you can remember occurring that you learned about the same day, and not in a history class.  I'd be willing to bet that it was in the past decade.  We've had half a dozen tsunamis that I can think of in the past decade, and I can't remember one occurring before that in all of the 80's and maybe one in the 90's?  When the east coast was hit by the 5.9 a week before the hurricane, there was another earthquake in the western half of the US the very same day.  Not saying that this is out of bounds for the law of averages either, but it does make one wonder....
