Title: Importing a wallet.dat File From a Mac to a Windows Computer Post by: SilverandBitcoins on January 15, 2014, 03:12:02 AM I had an Apple notebook computer back in April/May and installed Bitcoin QT on it but never got around to syncing the whole blockchain. I may have experimentally sent a small amount of BTC to that wallet and have since given the computer to a relative who copied the wallet.dat file for me. Can I import that Wallet.dat into the Bitcoin QT program I have on my Windows 7 comuter? If there is nothing in the wallet, can I then remove the wallet.dat file that was on the Mac and then put the original wallet.dat file back into the QT program on the Windows 7 computer?
Title: Re: Importing a wallet.dat File From a Mac to a Windows Computer Post by: BookLover on January 16, 2014, 12:33:52 AM Yes, just make bitcoin-qt is closed and replace wallet.dat in C:\Users\"your username here"\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\. Make sure you save the wallet which is already there. If you want to switch back you can just swap the files again.
