hardware wallet is a special type of crypto wallet, which stores the user's private keys in a secure hardware device.
It is more secure than other normal wallets.

In general its always better to use a hardware wallet, primarily for its ease of use, It also gives you massive peace of mind especially if you have significant amounts of crypto. Of course there are risks wiith all wallets you could for instance lose you keys for for any type of wallet.

But when comparing them to a normal wallet the difference is that with normal ones(online, desktop, mobile) when you want to send money you have to expose your keys over the internet, this means that if your computer is infected with trojans or key loggers than a hacker could potentially steal all your funds.

With a harwarewallet your keys will never leave the device itself meaning that you can use it on any computer safely. Of course you could still use normal wallets safely on an offline computer but you have to follow best practices. You could also use a paper wallet.

Recommended hardware wallets are Ledger Nano and trezor

Most of them are good, and quite safe but I still like to use a computer because I would no like to loose my device and it gives me enough security for the moment. But what is more important is that having a hardware wallet should not give you a false sense of security, these also have flaws, are frequently lost, may have an occasional hack or bugs and are not 100% safe. I guess that applies to any way of storing crypto and fiat.

If you are careful where and how you purchase them and if you use them properly both Ledger Nano and Trezor are pretty solid solutions with regard to safety. They are not my cup of tea though. I prefer air gaped computers.

I agree with you, aspiration and progress always give a positive result, if you are stretching before him and trying to be successful.
