Title: Is it possible to mine Litecoins on my Mac? Post by: jordant on January 16, 2014, 02:42:15 AM I have an early-2011 Macbook. I know that I won't be able to mine Litcoins with my Mac's GPU. But, if I get a block erupter or something would I be able to mine Litecoins on my Mac?

Litecoins and a lot of other altcoins are using Scrypt hashing algorithm and block erupter cannot be used. Currently, no ASIC for Scrypt yet.
