Title: Falling tree from heavy wind shut down my rigs! Post by: Herodes on September 06, 2011, 05:42:09 PM I guess it would have been more spectacular if the falling tree actually crushed my office and physically destroyed the rigs, but what happened was that strong winds made the tree break in half. After that it fell over the electricity wire leading to our house and effectively shutting down any electrical apparatus. When the power came back, the rigs did not start of themselves, so essentially the strong wind shut down my rigs. A few cars with handymen happend to come by, they had a saw, so they quickly cut the tree in half and moved it over to the side of the road. All neighbours watched the events unfold and it was a spectacular event in a neighbourhood that's usually rather sleepy.
