Title: Altcoins for Africa
Post by: TheLegislator on May 23, 2018, 11:52:01 PM
Which blockchain projects with their own altcoins are shaking up African economy?? I only know about Kora Network (https://kora.network/tokensale.html/), they're using blockchain to offer financial services (lending, credit, etc) to rural and impoverished people in the continent

What about Moya network? But it looks like the African economy doesn't give a lot of the contribution to the global affect. Moya is working on the different field. you can try to visit its announcement page on bitcoin talk.
I guess Moya ico has already ended too.

Not sure which ones are dominating now in the african market but I will look up this project that you have mentioned. It is good if there is a project out there using the blockchain technology to help bring people out of poverty and give them a way to fend for themselves. Africa is still an untapped market in the crypto sense and it might take a while but it will do good in africa too

I don't see any necessity for making a separate altcoin for Africa, while you can just make it universal. We saw how commonplace bitcoin began in Zimbabwe due to the poor political and economic situation. That shows that people there are pretty open for the adoption of that technology.

I think kripton is another project for Africans. The ICO has just ended. Although it is yet to be listed on any exchange. It is the first loan service built in Africa and now expanding to the world. I am still expecting to see what the outcome would be.
