Title: Hash rates for Intel CPU's alone - what are you getting? Post by: Mk2vr6 on January 17, 2014, 01:26:30 AM Using 3570k overclocked to 4.2ghz I average around 50k/h on Scrypt, using MinerD.
Does this sound right and what else are you lot getting? Dont worry, I'll have a GPU in a week or two. ::) Title: Re: Hash rates for Intel CPU's alone - what are you getting? Post by: Keitaru84 on January 17, 2014, 03:05:34 AM anything not amd is pretty much weak in the hashing department.

I know their GPU's are best but CPU too? Title: Re: Hash rates for Intel CPU's alone - what are you getting? Post by: akaCash on January 17, 2014, 03:55:49 PM I have an Intel i5 650 with no mods at all, and I get around 12-15 kh/s. I found when CPU mining it's actually best to NOT use all your cores. I found using 1 less core, or more depending on how many cores you have is a bit faster in some cases. For example, on another computer I have a six-core AMD processor @3.3Ghz. If I run all six-cores I'll get around 4-5 kh/s per core. However, if I use 4 cores, I get around 7.5-8.5 kh/s per core. It's not a huge difference, and it might not always be the case, but don't be afraid to try it either, you might be surprised. If you want to try it just put "-t #" at the end of the CMD line script you're using. Remove the quotes obviously and just put the number of cores you want to use in place of the # sign.

Quark and clones, MemoryCoin, PrimeCoin, ProtoShares... Look that list : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0 Look for CPU coin. I know, but have been doing both. Script-jane I get on average 850kh/s... Thanks for the link though. Title: Re: Hash rates for Intel CPU's alone - what are you getting? Post by: CrimsonGT on January 17, 2014, 07:58:40 PM I experimented with scrypt mining using a few free machines I had available. The E3 processors range from about 45-50kh/s at stock clocks. I let them mine with 4 threads as they gave me about 45KH/s compared to 50KH/s using 8. Not worth the 5 extra KH/s for 50% more CPU usage.
