Title: Not a noobie but this is my first post here.
Post by: ratedmmm on January 17, 2014, 02:48:45 AM
 8)  I have been lurking here for awhile and thought I would finally post.  My 4 boxes incorporate 12 cards.  6 X R9 280x cards, 4 X 7950s, one 7770 and one 7650.  My OS's include Linux (Debian and Xubuntu) and Windows 8, running GUIminer on W8 box and cgminer on the rest.  I'm having fun with this project and if I can pay equipment costs I will be happy.  Everything else is gravy not to mention the exposure it has given me to Linux.  I look forward to posting in the forums and contributing.  On a sidenote I made my first purchase at overstock.com and couldn't be happier with the experience.  GO BITCOIN!!

Welcome, ratedmmm :)

As all you got are GPUs, I hope you are mining scrypt coins and then selling them for bitcoin, instead of mining bitcoin directly... :)

That is windows 8 but since have moved on to BAMT 1.3.  Scaled up to 30 R8 280xs now!  Regarding the other post, I was mining with middlecoin but have moved onto other pools with better communication.
