Hello!

So I recently bought this thing, and as you can see of my 6 + 2 pci, only the six fit.

So I emailed Black Arrow about it, and the response was really fast!! Only took a few hours. After dealing with BFL for so long, was pretty piss in my pants happy. They said my connectors are different. They sent some pictures.

They're pci's cable's extra 2 are both rounded. My top one is square. Go figure.

And as you can see from the picture, they have another cable plugged into the pci-e slot that is not a pci cable, I'm going to call it a cpu cable, don't know the real name.

So I wasn't very convinced and I bought a multimeter. I wanted one anyway. And there is a spot where you can plug in a cpu cable next to the motherboard pins. It is fine. With just that you get 12V across all of the terminals. But after testing some terminals with the multimeter (it's been a long time) I think that plugging a cpu cable into one of the terminals labeled pci-e, as per the pic they sent, will cause a short. If you have a cheap psu without safeguards something will probably melt. So I'm going to just use 6 of my 8 pins with each terminal. Anyone using one of these now? I plan on using it with some prospero x1's.

I dont follow. What is this and why would you want one? I have some X1's on the way. Is this required?

This is used to power the bitfury boards BA makes.

No. It is meant for the bitfury boards they sell. But I have ten x1's coming and thought my one good psu would be cleaner than ten small ones, and more efficient. I'm just assuming they will run on 12V. I asked in an email but they said that they come with psu's so I don't need one and they didn't answer my question.

Be careful JoeGruff ,EPS=CPU mobo connector,it is wired different (BACKWARDS)  ::)

Thanks! That page is very helpful! But it only deepens the mystery. The pci-e cables on those pictures have the same square plug that mine do. Why are they different than the holes on this board and the picture that BA sent? No one else have one of these?

I have one of these from the FPGA days I'll go check if they fit my psu cords

TBH I would just use the two 6pins and the EPS cable, that should be pleny of power, the extra two are just grounds

Maybe jumping the gun a little. I started preparing for my BFL single in March and ended up waiting a looong time.
