Title: What should DigiBytes symbol abbreviation be, DGB or DIGI? [DGB Will Stay]
Post by: DigiByte on January 17, 2014, 08:37:40 PM
The suggestion was made on IRC that DIGI sounds better and will help the coin stand out, what do you think?
DGBY has also been suggested.

Make sure to leave a reason why you voted that way.

EDIT:
After much discussion we have decided to leave the symbol as DGB to keep things simple and to avoid confusing people who already have DGB in their wallets. DigiByte will however be referred to as "Digis."

DGB is better because it's less letters

IDK, it sounds better I guess and less is more eh?

I voted for DGBY, because I like it the best. Different characters for each letter, and sets itself apart by having 4 characters.
If I had to choose a second though, it would be DGB!

Looks as though we will be keeping it as it is, we will let more votes roll in over the next few hours though.

DGB! For exchanges like Cryptsy 3 letters is better.

I agree with the two post above mine. DIGI is faster to say and type (For me at least) and it just looks and sounds cooler.

Must be DIGI

There are already: CGB  DGC  DGC   very confusing.

Using 4 letters would show a difference.

Definitly DIGI. It is much more easy to read and a TAG with 4 letters would distinguish it from a wast majoryty of coins.

If you people have half a brain you should choose DIGI, much easier to recognise for the overall Public, including children and your grandmother. DIGI would crush BTC as a recognizable trademark.

voted for DIGI cause it sounds not too technical like DGB, is easy to remember and is easier to adopt.

I also voted for DIGI as it will stand out better amongst all the other coins with 3 letter ticker symbols :)
