Title: Satoshi Square Meetup in Sydney Australia
Post by: BitByteBite on January 18, 2014, 01:11:34 AM
Hi everyone,

I've noticed a few aussies are starting to get into bitcoin. We even have bitcoin ATMs now.. I thinik it's time!

I'm looking to organize a meetup in Sydney Australia to talk about bitcoin with like minded individuals. I'm in Sydney, so would like it to be here, but if the community is larger elsewhere, I'm happy to travel to meetup. I believe it would be the first in Australia but please correct me if i'm wrong.

I think Australia has been asleep too long and it's time to wake it up to bitcoin, and i would like to discuss and organize this with others

Please let me know if anyone is interested

Regards
David

I found this the other day and am thinking of attending one to get to know more about bitcoin

Speaking of bitcoin ATMs in Australia, I can't work out if this is legit or not
http://diamondcircle.net/
but that's off-topic I know

Thanks BG, I didn't realise there was one in Sydney already! Are you in Sydney and going to visit soon?

I heard there were 2 in Australia already, one in melbourne is can't remember where the other one is. Not sure which model, but very exciting news.

The diamond circle project is legit, i am helping steve write the software for it.  The design has changed a fair bit, due to compliance issues in oz.
