Title: Best Proof-of-Stake Coin to Invest In?
Post by: nightengale on January 18, 2014, 06:50:51 PM
Is PeerCoin the de facto answer here, or does anyone have strong opinions about another Proof-of-Stake coin that could overtake PeerCoin's market cap?

what are you looking for? ROI? HBN stakes after 5 days.

My investment strategy is to hold strong positions in the top SHA-256 coin (Bitcoin), the top Scrypt coin (Litecoin) and now I'm looking for a strong Proof-of-Stake coin to take a position in. I'd rather it was a pure POS coin, as PPC still has SHA-256 hashing involved. Not entirely sure what's out there. eMunie and Skycoin are coming. A lot of people seem to badmouth NXT. Just looking for ideas.

Cryptogenic bullion, it's a rare PoS/PoW hybrid and has lots coming up this year like the madesparq project.

How would the coins be initially dispersed in a pure POS coin?

I think eMunie will be selling their units for BTC, kind of like an IPO to fund developers for the project. SkyCoin is still figuring out how to do a fair distribution I think.
