Title: New to forum
Post by: LynxDGE on January 19, 2014, 12:31:13 AM
Hi all, new to the forum.
Been mining for a while, several coins. We'll see how it goes, trying to build a portfolio in several currencies.
Using a few AMD GPU's, after first testing a little with a couple of Nvidia GPU's. I guess a lot of others have done like me, cause some AMD cards are getting hard to get a hold of. ;)

Anyways, just a first post to get started in the forums.

Yes you'll be much better off with ATI/AMD GPUs, even though cudaMiner is making progress for nVidia, it's still about half as fast for the same power (electricity).

Welcome to the mining world :)

Thanks! :)

Hmm they are different I think. Getting around 650KH/s from Gigabyte R9 280X (scrypt). Some get close to 800, some just around 550. Getting a high hashrate is easy, but making sure they're valid is something else.
