Title: Cgminer keeps disabling one GPU
Post by: Mortimer452 on January 19, 2014, 05:58:11 AM
I am running 4x 7950's, one of them keeps reporting a "glitchy" temp reading which causes CGMiner to disable to the temp-cutoff being exceeded.

CGminer's polling interval for stats like temp, fan speed, etc. seems to be about every two seconds -- every now and then, one of my GPU 's will report a temp of 500+C and fan speed of 9999RPM . . . it immediately goes back down to "normal" 78-80C on the next update but it's enough to make CGMiner kill the GPU if it happens more than once.

I tried to set the temp-cutoff to something huge like 700 but it seems CGMiner has a limit on this, won't let me set it that high.

Any ideas?

Use an older version of reaper, cgminer or bfgminer for that GPU and your current cgminer for others
