As a newbie,  I want to know the features of a good coin for which its value raise in market. I think its purchasing capability is mainly responsible. What is your logic?

I assume by purchasing capability you mean the amount of exchanges that trade it, or the amount of ways people can buy it.

Obviously its easier to buy bitcoin then say Digibyte...

Yes that would be a feature of a good coin, aside from that the reasons why some coins raise in value is subject to debate...after 4 years in these markets I have come to conclusion that the biggest factor for why a coin raises has to do with the hype associated with it. It could have little tech but a wide amount of optimism that leads to raise in value.

Private transactions. Speed. Adoption and future adoption potential. Strong roadmap. History of hitting items on the roadmap.

Another factor to consider is the actual use of the coin. If the coin will be in use and in demand in the project itself, there will be a possiblity that the value will rise as the need rises also. If the coin will not be a currency, there will be a danger that it will be useless.

There are lots of sectors or categories which a certain coin would able to give out his benefits or innovation. Something unique which isnt still existed on the market or even several numbers is out already. Features would be ranked up basing on my own view which is usability, innovation, support, development and having a very dedicated team behind. Once you see these things then its a good project or coin but always prefer on your own analysis if it would able to sustain for long term not just only good on start up.

A good coin can never be judged by the market. The market is more concerned with the price of the coin than what problem the coin can solve in the world. There are great coins that are undervalued because they cant be pumped and dumped.

So what are the features of a good coin?

i. It should solve a problem in the world and not just be a copycat
ii. It should have a real use case
iii. It should be backed by a great team because this will make it last long.

There is no guide book for knowing a good coin in the market. Just make sure you carry out adequate research about any coin or project you want to invest in. As a rule, never put your money in what you cannot teach a child. What is mean is, you must understand is completely and well to be able to explain it to a youngstar.

Basic in my opinion - high liquidity, report of developers (or the company as a whole),perspective of further growth of development and

For me one of the features of a good coin must have a stability because if a coin is stable it will last longer, try to make further research about this matter so that in the of the day you can find a good one because honestly there is no guide to find a good coin, maybe if you can check the exchange market you can find one.

We can not consider any crypto specialist, after all, everyone is learning at various times and every day so there are several points of view and technical visions of the coins. In general the characteristics necessary for a good coin are:

1- Utility
2- Need
3- Liquidity
4- Search and Demand
5- Transactional speed


In my opinion these features are essential otherwise without these functions mentioned many projects tend to fail.

A coin must have a good utility, this is really important because most coins just scam people because they don't worth, and another important feature there must be a good team behind a coin.

I think there are a lot of factors to be considered that features for a good coin. Demand, Supply, price, scalability, speed etc are the prime factors for me. It’s not always the purchasing capability that play the main role always

The feature of a good coin for me is that it has the capability to be use in place of cash. Just like bitcoin it should be easily use by the public to transact with others. Aside from that it should be fast meaning the user won't have to wait just to check the result of his transaction.

i would say, coin has to have really good Speed and garenteed Privatecy in trasacsation besides that coin has to have capability to adopt new features in near future. and coin has to be green most of the time. haha

A good coin generally has a large trading volume, and its turnover rate is very high! It's also important to look at its use. If it doesn't have any use, then it has no value!

Any good coin needs 4 things IMHO

1. Good product with real world usage.
2. A team that is balanced and capable in all sections related to the product and blockchain. Also communicates with its community/supporters.
3. A big community behind it supporting it.
4. Marketing done well.

No fix features that can assure the value raise in the market as there are lots of manipulation by the speculators, but for long term I think good coin will be known by the excellent project profile such as the team competencies, capabilities, and experiences, the services offered to public from that project to create demand of the tokens/coins.

Good team can have a good coin. Good platform will have a high potential coin. Good roadmap will have chance to raise the price. Partnership will lead the team at the pinnacle of success. A good coin I think must be decentralized, the cost is cheaper, and of course faster and also adopted by masses. However, there is no particular standard to state whether the coin is good or not since everyone has their opinion regarding this topic and will produce a different answer according to what that person wants, that's why altcoin borns to cover the feature that bitcoin has not and the person wants.

The development team and roadmap is important. There must be something in the pipeline that can push the value up like an application for binance. These days however, privacy is a big issue so picking a privacy focused coin is likely to be profitable in future

no, hype doesn't indicate coin quality, it's to know potential price rise. hyped coin can up 10x in a week but good coin can up 100x steadily in months. good coins have a good product so they have constant demand and price rise

In General look at the btc value rather than usd value. Look at marketcap rather than the price of the coin (4 dollar ripple is not cheap).

As for the actual product firstly see that they actualy have a working blockchain (verge anyone).

Look at how large the community around it is.

Look at who controls the mining, whether it is a pre-mined coin, Who controls how much of it (again to say ripple is decentralized when the company control 60% of all ripple is just blasphemy).

See whether the team has delivered on their promises and deadlines. Or whether they just make announcements to pump and dump the prices.

Dont just beleive nonsensical claims made by team or the whole tokenize the world bullshit. The fact is that a lot of industries and sectors dont need to be decentralized and and that centralization does have its many benefits.

I as a rule stay away from coins that say xyz industry is worth trillions/billions of dollars and if we manage to even capture 1-5% of the market my coin will be worth this many dollars. I also as rule stay away from coins related to music/ entertainment/ adult industry(vice and such and such)/ farming and other bullshit fields.

Remember that while there is a lot of scope for growth, crypto currencies are primarily being used for speculation today. So when ico make these sort of bold claims its generally better to stay away/stick to bitcoin. You will get more opportunities.

Anonymity coins(monero/z cash) by the way are hugely undervalued and are always a good bet/will always have massive usecase.( offshore banking/hawala/quietly moving large amounts of money) May be unethical but its been part of the world for thousands of years. Best not to be naive about it.

A good product that will be useful to people for years to come as this is what will ensure that the coin will be used for a long time which will ensure that the coin will only have value.
Another one is a loyal community behind the project, it is what helps a project grows because if people see how loyal investors are, then they are more inclined to invest in the project.

Based from my own observation, it seems that the feature of the coin is not much of an import to most people. AFAIK, there are more people in cryptoshere that are not really up to the technology, their aim is to earn. The cryptocurrency began to be a speculative market. All are based from news and rumors. People do not pay attention to the real benefit of the coin they are purchasing/selling.

Smart investors go to the feature of the coin. They are up to the coins that have real world application. The feature is a factor but news and rumors are the one that are responsible for the price.

From my point of view a good coin must need some most important things in it which are utility, need, liquidity, search and demand, transaction speed.
