Title: Anoncoin - Can a cryptocoin be truely anonymous?
Post by: geekz on January 20, 2014, 09:37:40 PM
Whats the goal
Anoncoin developers community had initially planned to implement zerocoin features. But even after repeatedly writing to zerocoin developers,  they never replied. So , Anoncoin developers have decided to continue on their own. You can view the zerocoin design implementation from anoncoin source code here : https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/wiki/Zerocoin-design-&-docs (https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/wiki/Zerocoin-design-&-docs)

The Goal of Anoncoin is to be a truely anonymous cryptocurrency. There is still a lot to achieve. The core developers have plans to implement coinjoin and a few new ideas to make the coin really anonymous.

What has been achieved
Anoncoin has successfully implemented tor and i2p. So , now anyone can mine, or spend anoncoins using those networks and the person canot be traced even if the blockchain is read completely.

What can you do?
If you are developer , or a normal cryptocoin enthusiast who believes in freedom , join the discussion. Show your support.
You can also connect with anoncoin developer community at  I2P IRC channel #anoncoin or freenode http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=anoncoin (http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=anoncoin)

the biggest concern for me arrr pools, if i wanted to take down a chain i would first attack the frew pools they have online...  Proof of work would be awesome if everyone mined solo... but thats never the case for long at least....  once again centralized to a point in the future when your paying pools to push transactions for you like banks

I think if I had to dream of a new coin to be made I would want the power of Pirates algo with the power of qortal's minting decentralization (mining mechanism - i like it cause it make the use and miner 1 person and the job is to run full nodes to get rewards...  more full nodes larger netwrok) | dustless coin train tracks... all working with reticulum in the core (ip-less tech)

IP Addresses = The Matrix

We can do better....
