After I sat laughing for 10 minutes about the Cosby popups the other day I closed the browser window and ESET NOD32 popped open a window and asked me to quarantine a file called Trojan:Win32/Comine.A. Does anybody know what this is and if it was related to the Forum hack? I might have gotten it somewhere else I guess. I just thought it was wierd that it happened right after I closed the Cosby flood window. I didn't see anything about passwords in that code. Sorry for the stupid questions, i'm not a programmer. the hacker obtained admin status and was able to run arbitrary code. The cosby javascript was just one symptom of the hack, just one thing they did of the many things that they were able to do. Change your forum password... if your forum password was the same as other accounts (especially the email you use on the forum) change those as well. |
