It seems that cryptojacking simply means the incognite use of your computer to mine cryptocurrencies. Meaning in laymen terms, that someone can hack into your computer, install mining software (for bitcoin for instance) and mine coins unbeknownst to you. You should however notice the increased monthly payment on the electricity bill, if such case would occur.

Cryptojacking is new to most of the people. It's better if you search on google about it and know its consequences whether it's good of bad.

it will not "kill" your computer. because the access that it has is limited through your browser and it can only use your hardware to some extent not to their full potential and never overclocked.
so in other words it is somewhat like you playing a heavy game that takes a lot out of your system. and if you close your browser it will simply stop.

I can't give a shit less for cryptojacking than I am. Somebody is making money from me visiting their website. Isn't it how it works for years? I am paying more electricity bills now? Good, maybe that will let the site owner offer me a new free service.

In short never install a software in your computer that will compromise your personal data specially when it comes to your digital assets. Knowledge in basic programming and network management can help protect yourself in such attempts and prevent breaching your prsonal data to hackers.
