Title: What do You looking for in ICO?
Post by: JaydenBlackRaven on May 25, 2018, 07:08:57 PM
Please, tell me what point is most important for you in new coins?

- liquidity
- minimum price guarantee
- usefulness of the coin
- growing industry
- global view
ect

Do you have any interest in ICO, which do not develop the mainframe of blockchain industry?
Is it possible for you to invest in such ICOs?

Thanks.

The number 1 rule I follow when investigating an ICO is to never ever look at the price.

You know why? Because crypto's prices rise and fall.

Next thing I look into is the website. If its poorly made, I have doubts about it already.

And lastly the usefulness of the coin. You might want to ask if the utility of the coin can exist even without the blockchain.

That's what I was looking into. Plus the hype from the community. Because you can always see the real investors, especially in the whitelist process. If the whitelist process is so busy then probably the community is into the project.

Liquidity is definitely important for me, but if the project is integrated with Bancor protocol, then it is ok in the first place already. If the coin is useful, then its price will probably rise in the future, but nothing is for sure in crypto world. Other than those things from your list, I value the idea behing the coin, team efforts and most of all, organic and active community behind the project.

usefulness
community

these two are necessary conditions for success, they're not sufficient conditions though..a weak network of team+advisors and partners could make everything fall apart

I would like to link my thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3752728) here, which contains some things I personally look for, it's too long to paste in here! I think it might be helpful :)

In addition to identifying the information as well as the potential of the ICOs, it is of particular interest that the number of Token that the project sells through the ICO rounds. If the index is good then the project can succeed after the ICO. In addition, the whitepaper is useful for evaluating a potential ICO project

When i invest into an ICO, i am always looking for the same thing.
1) A passive income
2) A steady growth
3) Interest from other investors
And i can continue until i reach to the point 100..

Don't look at the ico price, ICO token price doesn't fact here. You need to find a trust and reliable project. I always prefer a strong community, like more than 50K people in their telegram, more than 10k followers on twitter. Then I try to look into their roadmap, whitepaper and the main thing is a member's LinkedIn profile and connections. Then I search about them in icorating websites like icobench, icodrops.

How much investors are joinning here, actually i researched a lot of thigns before invest in any ICO. Z

Honestly depends on my goals :D Do I think the project is good and worth the effort or do I want to make quick profit?

First of all, checking whether it is legit or not (Duh), what does the website look like, who is shilling it, who is involved and so on. but if I want to make quick money, I'm not going too deeply into how viable the idea is, as long as it sounds good enough to attract others. This is pretty much the Greater-Fools-Game, but hey, we are all playing it to some degree. Don't hate the players…

If I want to make a quit buck, my most important question is, how many people are aware of the ICO, are all the potential investors already in it? Because then, there won't be a lot of upside.

I like dark horses, projects that for whatever reason stay under the radar until the sale is over and suddenly, everybody notices that this is actually the next big thing.

My go-to example in the last few months is Dragonchain. It had it's ICO when everybody and their mom was completely fed up with the whole ICO business, especially uncapped ICOs like Dragonchain was. See what happened afterwards: the thing exploded in everybody's face.

My current focus is on ICO's that are building the underlying layers of the blockchain rather than ICO's that are just applications running on the blockchain. The only application layer tokens I have been investing in are the tokens of exchanges since they have proved to be the outperformers of the application token group. My focus is purely about making money and a some point in the future application tokens may start performing better than the nuts and bolts layers of the blockchain, but for now I am not focusing on them.

What I look for in an ICO is:
A passive income
A way to invest and secure my future
New technologies and hopefully an early retirement

I always check the team, roadmap, plans, platform, whitepaper. Since ETH is my best bet for now and I love travelling, I invested in chozun 途赞.

I see which technology they are using. Eg: Blockchain. Their presence in social media platform, Road-map, website etc.

Dakuce https://dakuce.com/ (https://dakuce.com/)is a cryptocurrency exchange and a technically solid international crypto exchange platform. Cryptocurrency is a digital currency which is used as a tool of exchange. Since their operation is autonomous of any banks, cryptography is used in them to regulate the generation of their added units, transfer of funds securely and to verify their transfer.

Dakuce https://dakuce.com/ (https://dakuce.com/)also uses DApp and smart contracts based on blockchain technology where cryptocurrencies are exchanged for fiat currencies. Investing in this platform will surely give you high returns in the form Dakuce Tokens aka DAKU tokens. It is a decentralized exchange platform where uncertainty is the most top priority promised to all the respective traders. It is the best platform which is devoid of all the probable manipulations, and all the cryptocurrencies perform and real market rates.

The ICO is already started and will end on 12th July 2018.

When I invest I'm looking for an innovative idea with a dedicated team that has lots of experience.

All ICOs have their own unique and the same innovative ideas so there's no need to make this as part of your standard.

I'm not looking for any ICO right now and if there will be an ICO that can get my attention it can be something better than the rest right now. Last year's ICOs  were totally different from today's and they are even more better, most of them today are scams.

I'm also very interested in investing in ICO project and before investing in any project, I often check few things like dev team, WP, Roadmap, Hardcap and Softcap, idea. If an ICO project has good dev team, good WP, good roadmap and idea but its hardcap is so high so I think it's not a really good project cause there are so many projects created with so high hardcap and all of them were losers ;D. Beside, I think you should believe in any vote from ICO listings sites cause it's not true ;D

It is a given fact that after the ICO ends, the coins naturally drop in price when it enters the market so technically I am not looking for greater return on investments but my focus is more on the sustainability of the coin and if it may have any future competitors which would be superior to it.

Mostly a purpose and a deflation model.

If it has a good purpose and burns some % of the tokens all the times, it means a green light for me.

Well all I want from the new coins is that they should not be scammers one. They should be perfect in al sense just like the IPO's who offer proper projects, real world applications etc. I guess having such qualities in the crypto coins would be the great thing. I guess the ICO project should offer the exchanger before they can even start with their crowdsale etc. I would say having ICO's over the exchanger can be good deal because it can bring us surety that we are not going to get scammed at anytime as we have the option to trade our coins immediately if something goes wrong. ;)
