Title: Ebay almost getting into bed with Bitcoin, PayPal c$ckblocking Post by: ChuckBuck on January 22, 2014, 09:25:44 PM Ebay is already creating a "Virtual Currency" category amidst sales of Bitcoin in the US and now the UK. They're ever so close to embracing BTC as a payment method with it's fee-less fast transaction based structure, but their long marriage with PayPal looms as the biggest hurdle. Ebay probably will hedge it's bets in the future, and offer both payment options. If BTC growth in the media and masses continue, you can bet your ass Ebay will dump PayPal in the street like a $20 whore!

They're hedging their bets for now, and will see if PayPal's "coin" takes off or is a dud. If BTC keeps growing in stature and value, they'll have no choice. Especially with Icahn shoving 2 of his employees inside Ebay's board. It would show forward thinking on their part, and a way to avoid customer backlash in the future.
