Title: C-O.IN - premium domain name for sale!
Post by: the_poet on January 23, 2014, 03:48:39 PM
This premium domain is short and memorable, actually it's the shortest you could use for a bitcoin, litecoin, *coin related website (of course you can also add as many subdomains as you wish such as "BIT", "LITE", etc.). If you're interested in acquiring it, I'm entertaining offers in the $x,xxx range (with a little discount if you pay in BTC). Feel free to contact me via PM. Escrow is paid for by me.

Thanks

That's more than I'd pay....hyphenated domains aren't (in the vast majority of cases - including this one) worth anywhere near what the OP's asking

Thanks for your offer, but I'm not considering offers less than $x,xxx. Anyway, I'm inviting offers via PM only.

Hyphenated domains are the second best alternative to non-hyphenated domains. And considering CO.IN is not an available domain name since it's reserved by India as a domain extension, you can't have a domain shorter than the hyphenated one.

I agree with you that, when domains are worthless or next to that, their hyphenated counterparts don't have any value, but clearly this is not the case.

Yes, around 70 uv per day. It used to be a fairly popular domain forwarding service (you could setup your domain.c-o.in and redirect it to your long url) and it has thousands of backlinks (including Mashable and other notable websites), as you can check here

Yes but lets face it. With the nature of the domain having only 2 letters before the actual TLD; It is going to be awkward to type the domain out. In essence, the fact it is a "two letter domain" with a hyphen separating the two letters makes it worse than a normal hyphenated domain.

Not to mention there is a HUGE difference between CO.IN and C-O.IN, and CO.IN could be priced in the $x,xxx on this forum.

Coin-Base.com is a lot easier to type and remember with the hyphen than C-O.IN (Atleast in my opinion for the average person).

If a domain name like CO.IN was available, it could be easily worth in the 5 figures (if not 6). Just like BitcoinWallet.com was sold for $250,000 and Bitcoin.com is worth 7 figures. I understand this isn't a forum of domain investors and so people can't tell the exact value of a domain asset, but these are the real prices.

If interested, I also have a nice brandable for sale: TheBitcoinz.com
