To reduce the price of bitcoin at this time is much followed by the decline altcoins and I think that's what is happening right now, and maybe because altcoins always follow the bitcoin price.

All the altcoin are depending on bitcoin because the Bitcoin is a large Blockchain and all the altcoin will be following it. So if the altcoin price depends on the bitcoin.

Because most of us use bitcoin to exchange for altcoins. So the real value is bitcoin, when bitcoin price goes down, you lost money and buy with cheaper price.

Nothing different, when Bitcoin up altcoin also keeps it down.
because the value of Bitcoin is very high and becomes the standard for altcoin exchange. and unfortunately many people are spreading the negative issue to lower the price of Bitcoin.

Because Bitcoin is very powerful and really important to the crypto market. In addition, bitcoin is a measure of the increase or decrease of altcoin in the market. When Bitcoin falls, the altcoin value will move down and vice versa. It is like a harmony in an instinctive connection.

bitcoin is the benchmark of all second and third generation altcoins, if we give the name of the bitcoin as first generation cryptocurrency, so all subsequent doses of altcoin are Bitcoin, if the bitcoin falls then the coin of another person also goes down. but there are also some coins whose price rises if the bitcoin descends, cryptocurrency or altcoin stand-alone type, usually the coin has its own price without bitcoin relevance, although we can change the market into bitcoin form when trading.

It really because there's a fact that the behind of all movements of altcoins is only base or depends from the movements of Bitcoin which is unfortunately when the value of btc will fall, the value of altcoins will be fall also.

Because bitcoin is the benchmark of all the cryto money. if the bitcoin price drops all altcoin prices are down if viewed from the price to real ang or dollar, but the decline in bitcoin prices may not necessarily affect the price of altcoin in exchange for bitcoin.
Maybe this is one of the reasons.

The very simple answer actually is " The Bitcoin is the King of crypto, and the altcoins are those following. So, what happens to BTC will happen to most altcoins. That is the simple answer. however, basically, the trust fro investors to BTC is very high. therefore, when the price is dropping, the investors also feel worried of the altcoins and they sell the coins widely that can lead the dropped altcoins. Additionally, many people still consider that BTC is the guidance of success of the crypto.

Because the price of altcoin still used the price of bitcoin as the main pegged to determine its value. If the dollar price of bitcoin goes down and then altcoin will be automatically following it. This is a correlation between altcoin and bitcoin but in this case, bitcoin has a lot of domination to the altcoin itself. Look at the bitcoin pair is available on the every exchange site.

in easy it is certainly because of the bitcoin is the first crypto and this became the reference for another altcoin. bitcoin well when going up and down then altcoin will also soon followed in the footsteps of Ascension and descents. However but just hope altcoin will not be forever like that. like the ethereum that should be growing your own and not following bitcoin.

Bitcoin number one on the list is crypto currency. We do not exchange altcoyins for money, but first we translate often into it. At the moment they are interrelated. All the market hits hit the bitcoin, the altcoyins are weak so long as they survive and just follow the pope.

sometimes you shouldn't really look for reasons in the altcoin market because there are none. although there are some theories around and i have one of my own. the important thing to know is that when bitcoin goes down, altcoins go down with it and most of the times  they get dumped harder.

my theory is that when bitcoin drops, every trader moves back to bitcoin and leaves altcoin market behind. this means they either dump their altcoins to have bitcoin/fiat ready or at the very least they cancel their open buy orders on altcoin markets which means altcoins lose a lot of buy support and with the dump that is happening they crash harder.

Everything is pegged to Bitcoin, just like other world currencies are pegged to the US dollar. Also when Bitcoin goes down it is primarily whales and profit takers and panic sellers selling off both Bitcoin and cryptos, so when the general market cap falls then everything else falls with it. I see this over and over and as we are in a bear market for six months in a row, we should see further losses happening. Only gains are made if a coin has very good news and people then buy into it and it rallies against Bitcoin.

I think there are 2 main reason:
1st: all altcoin have the ratio value with btc altcoin/btc so btc down, altcoin down
2nd: btc down, many people dont believe in crypto market so they panic sell all the coin they have which make the price down

It is due to trade pairs. All the altcoins have trade pairs with bitcoin which means that when bitcoin is falling, there is not enough trade being done on those coins either because not a lot of people are buying bitcoin so the prices of the altcoins fall along with the prices of bitcoin. Bitcoin is what gives the altcoins their value

because altcoin prices also follow bitcoin prices, we all know each altcoin always has a pair with bitcoin, so the effect that followed also follow from the trading pair and also usually often a few people who like to dump those altcoin. that's will make altcoins price going worst.

i think that was not for all altcoin, i mean there's still a few of alts that keep stable or even going up when btc keep in red stats

Well that's no answer to the question. Bitcoin's price went down, because the Us Justice department decided to make an accusation in price manipulation. I don't think it's the case, but those friggin' newbies don't care, they just see the bad news and sell their coins rightaway. Now, when that happens, people tend to think that altcoins will be doing even worse, so they sell them more in hope that bitcoin will still survive. That can be seen if you look at the btc dominance on the market and its dynamics.

maybe because theyre also relying also in the price of bitcoin.but as far as  i know some altcoins dont go down even the price of bitcoin is dumping.maybe some altcoins also dumping because they do also panic selling when bitcoin is down..or maybe they sell altcoins to buy bitcoin because its in the dip price. So i therefore conclude altcoins are not affected by the prices of bitcoin..maybe its on the demand of altcoin.

Because the value of bitcoin is always a measure of success and opportunity for higher profitability than altcoin. Therefore, when bitcoin prices go down, many investors have sold altcoin to buy bitcoin. This makes the market more balanced.

There is same in the movement of price when it comes to bitcoin and altcoins because altcoin supported by bitcoin and it affects it. Instead of having a problem on this dip try to invest and use this opportunity to have huge amount to hold and wait for the good price. There are also some corrections on altcoin why the price decreases.

What you said is correct and one more point is that , We cannot sell or use other altcoins for any purchase or convert them to fiat currency so for that we have to sell the altcoin to bitcoin and then only we can get benefited. So that is why all altcoin are priced in bitcoin.

This is a common occurrence in the cryptocurrency market and this trend was observed almost always due to panic and fear. Nothing new at all. The entire market is clearly correcting itself, but it won't go on forever. I suggest HODLING all your coins and tokens since I am expecting the market to rally soon sometime in June which will most likely help Bitcoin and majority of the altcoins rise significantly in value.

Now this isn't surprising. There is a strong direct correlation between bitcoin and most other coins and tokens. Bitcoin is falling, altcoins are also falling. However , when bitcoin is growing strongly, altcoins are falling, too ( as there is an overflow of investors altcoins funds in bitcoin). Over time , when the market "matures", the connection won't to be so strong. Already now some coins demonstrate this-for example, ETH and NEO, EOS.

When Bitcoin's price increases, altcoins' prices follows. When Bitcoin's price decreases, the price of altcoins follows as well. This is happening because the price or value of all altcoins out there is linked to Bitcoin and not to fiat. If you could notice in all exchanges they have this so called "Market". Let us take ETH for instance. If you want to buy/sell ETH in BTC Market (ETH/BTC), the price is in terms of BTC (i.e. 1 ETH = 0.1 BTC). So if the value of 0.1 BTC now is $700 then 1 ETH = $700, after a day the value of 0.1 BTC went down to $600 then the value of 1 ETH would be $600 as well (saying that the conversion factor of 1 ETH = 0.1 BTC does not change).

This is well explained answer. This is correct. Since altcoins are linked to Bitcoin then the price of altcoins depends on Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the cryptocurrency that has a direct conversion to fiat (other major coins are also convertible to fiat directly, however, they are also connected to Bitcoin so Bitcoin is the main catalyst here). I think there is no more info to add to the above's instance, as it is a self-explanatory instance (in my perception).

It is obvious that the market value of any of the crypto coin cannot rise higher all the time and that there will remain some fluctuation in the market value of almost all the crypto coins because of the volatile nature of the crypto coins. Bitcoin surely does have an impact on the rest of the crypto coin as it is the backbone of the entire market and the downfall in its market value effect other coins as well.

We can consider Bitcoin as the founder of the altcoins. It is the first one to resolved issues with the cryptocurrency. Altcoins are the by products of Bitcoin so they rely heavily on its status or value. This is the reason why the altcoins price go up or down just like bitcoin.

Well ofcourse when bitcoin is down so do most of the altcoin why? Most of altcoin depends on the price of bitcoin how it happened? When ICO period the mode of payment for ICO is buying thru BTC as payment, ETH or any major altcoin. But the commonly used is Bitcoin this is why when bitcoin is down they will also go down.

Whenever bitcoin price goes down, people panic, that is also the reason why altcoin price goes down along with bitcoin price. Some might be selling their altcoin to get more bitcoin just before altcoin price goes down. I cannot find any other reason why altcoin price goes down aside from these reasons.

Due to the fall in Bitcoin rates, the altcoins also decreased as a result of the influence of the coin on the remaining cryptos on the market. Whenever the exchange rate of BTC falls, it is evident that many investors sell BTC, which in turn leads to altcoins also affected by the association with altcoin / BTC and altcoin / ETH. So it is not difficult to understand that altcoins rates depend on BTC.

I want to ask you all, why if bitcoin price goes down, altcoins price also come down, what is alcoin-price bitcoin, please give me your answer.

It is actually very simple, most of the altcoins are mostly traded with BTC pair, so there actual price stays in satoshis and not any FIAT value.
Now, suppose an ALT is worth 500 satoshis while bitcoin price is USD 10K
After few months, the ALT is still worth 500 satoshis, whereas the bitcoin price comes down to half, i.e USD 5K

This will make the ALT price is FIAT come down by half as well, as even if its still 500 satoshis but the satoshi value is now half then what it was previously.
I guess, there is no way to simplify this.  ;D

I think the Altcoin price follows bitcoin. Bitcoin is the head of the cryptocurrency, If the head is not being well then I don't think Altcoin will be being well.  Altcoins price depends on bitcoin. You can see, if bitcoin price ups again, Altcoin price will up too. So, this is why Bitcoin called the base of the crypto platform.

yes indeed altcoin prices always follow bitcoin prices, this happens because bitcoin is the biggest blockchain, and all the average exchange sites dominate exchanging with bitcoin. so when a lot of people are exchanging altcoin to bitcoin, bitcoin will be down and altcoin will also follow it.

It really because there's a fact that the behind of all movements of altcoins is only base or depends from the movements of Bitcoin which is unfortunately when the value of btc will fall, the value of altcoins will be fall also.
because altcoin always follow the movement of bitcoin so if bitcoin price decreased then altcoin price also decreased and until now even bitcoin price has not come back either just up and down and I hope if bitcoin price will soon return and can be profitable because already many people who invest in Bitcoin this

The correlation between altcoin and BTC is directly proportional where all alts depends on the sentiments of Bitcoin. When BTC down, all alts will follow. When BTC rise, all alts will temporarily down and eventually catch up with BTC.

That's why you need to know the position of BTC before making any trades, it will be your hint to what might happen next.

While that is true for some Alts, it is not true for all Altcoins. There are Altcoins that their prices go up even when Bitcoin price is down.
There is hardly any rule in this market, hold quality coins and do not panic sell.

bitcoin price up --->alts down
bitcoin price down ---> alts down
the only scenario where alts go up is when bitcoin price stabilize at high price , only then money move from bitcoin to alts and thus price go crazy.

Most of the people follow the price of bitcoin to invest on the crypto currencies so when the price falls people won't invest that much so the demand will get lowerd also the prices. But there is no need that this will happen always because lot of time the prices of some altcoins will sky rocket when the price of bitcoin is falling.

that is because some altcoin makes bitcoin values as benchmarks for example ETH/BTC, XLM/BTC, BCH/BTC. So when the bitocin price drops it is a sign of decreasing demand and it will also cause the demand on altcoin to decline this according to market logic. Some argue it is due to coincidence only because in fact the cryptocurrency is self-contained, and I see when bitcoin price drops there are some altcoin even up.

bitcoin is the benchmark of all second and third generation altcoins, if we give the name of the bitcoin as first generation cryptocurrency, so all subsequent doses of altcoin are Bitcoin, if the bitcoin falls then the coin of another person also goes down. but there are also some coins whose price rises if the bitcoin descends, cryptocurrency or altcoin stand-alone type, usually the coin has its own price without bitcoin relevance, although we can change the market into bitcoin form when trading.
I am looking for the development of the present at this Altcoin affects the price of the basic Altcoin. so with the presence of the Bitcoin experienced price reductions will not affect the price of the basic Altcoin. so Altcoin will still be able to generate the high price even though the position of the Bitcoin is low.

To the best of my knowledge, I can only say that, most of the altcoins have their equivalence to bitcoin, thus, they are more of dependent on the market price of bitcoin. Besides, people trade or set some prices for altcoins based on the prices of bitcoin and eth. A good examples are altcoins built on the ethereum blockchain. Eventually, if the merket prices of eth goes down, it will affect those coins directly or indirectly.

Bitcoin still totally rules the market so if Bitcoin drops then the alts will also drop however if Bitcoin rises the alts may still drop rather than rise with it. It's a phenomenon that over time you get used to so a likely rise in alts will only come after a sustained rally in the price of Bitcoin.

How strongly related is altcoin value to bitcoin price?
It is strongly correlated from what you see in the data trends. Let’s explain the basics then throw some examples.

Simple math, ALT/BTC ratio would decrease if:
- ALT coin’s value drops (i.e. people are selling the ALT coin or trading it for BTC or other ALT coins).
and/or
- BTC value increases (i.e., more demand for BTC from various accounts including USD and ALT coin conversion)

Similarly, ALT/BTC ratio would increase if:
- ALT coin’s value increases (i.e. people are buying an ALT coin by trading BTC or other ALT coins).
and/or
- BTC value decreases (i.e., BTC is cashed out for USD or other currency or traded for ALT coins)

Because of the fall in Bitcoin rates, the altcoins likewise diminished because of the impact of the coin on the rest of the cryptos available. Since Bitcoin is intense and extremely essential to the crypto showcase. What's more, bitcoin is a measure of the expansion or reduction of altcoin in the market. At the point when Bitcoin falls, the altcoin esteem will move down and the other way around. It resembles an agreement in an instinctual association. They both work as an inseparable unit.
