Post by: limonade baas on January 23, 2014, 06:57:22 PM
Hello , I did not noticed the 'downtrend' because my time was full of mining alt coins.
So why are we going a bit down? Any new fud news I missed? ::)

We're not going down.

Now that we have confirmed bad news from Jamie Dimon, one of the most reputable and verified sources of bad news for bitcoin, we certainly will be heading down very violently in the not too distant future.  This has been confirmed true.

Why are you wasting your time on alt coins?

Trade BTC to Doge and sell Doge after pump.
Better than hodling.

2 weeks, increased btc stash by 7 times. Hodling = stagnation

I mine with 6mhash doge and with 2mhash moon coin.
I sell doge instant but I hoard moon because I believe in a 7-10m market cap within a week.
Making 100 dollar a day. On what do I lose my time mr?

Sounds like gambling to me, you can have the same/better odds at any Bitcoin casino.  Remember a few decades ago people were making profits selling rocks?  Theres only a greater fool for so long...

Proudhon, is there a Chinese language translation of Jamie Dimon's comments?  Until I've seen a link to a reliable source uploaded to the Confirmed Bad News Sources Thread, I think I'm going to have to treat this particular item of bad news as "suspect"/"unconfirmed."  kthx.

tell us why!

Because I don't give it the same value I give to BTC or LTC.

Bitcoin has earned my belief with innovation, ideology, and development.

Litecoin has earned my belief with innovation, ideology, and development.

DOGE has a powerful marketing department. Marketing is only useful when either a product delivers as promised, or has a customer base foolish enough that they will continue to buy without regard to what they are buying or why they are buying it...

When I was young I witnessed my father getting scammed by a local business. My dad said, "Make this right or I'll never do business with you again." The scammer responded, "Fine, don't do business here again. I can rip everybody off once and make enough money that I never have to worry about repeat business."

This is the power of marketing...

No, DOGE isn't a scam. But I won't buy it if I don't believe in it...

I view DOGE as no more than a gateway into the long term crypto currencies. If the only reason people are interested in DOGE is because they can become wealthy then it's doomed...

It would be selfish for me to do that because I would be a parasitic user and would contribute to driving the price lower.

I mine LTC and hold it.
I buy Bitcoin with fiat and hold it.

I did mine it for a little while and I sold it all. It was more profitable for me than mining LTC but somebody else had to lose as a result of me doing this. I'll just keep mining LTC and converting my fiat to BTC.

I think the "masses" who buy DOGE are pulled in by the marketing. The rest of the DOGE crowd is likely just day trading to get wealthier and could care less of the fate of DOGE.

You get to keep some extra profits by my choice not to mine DOGE so you could thank me for that! I would just sell anyways...

It's pretty amusing for anyone who bought BTC at less than 10 bucks or hundred to read of people considering prices are down when BTC is over $800 a coin against usd.

What is down? We haven't gone down in a while.  Bitcoin has hardly ever been this stable. At over $800!  How is that down, so confused.
