Title: My poker journey
Post by: accord01 on January 24, 2014, 03:34:45 AM
Yo, I am a btc gambler/poker player.  This is my new review of the sites available.  Does seem like the sites kind of suck.  Oh well, very hard to develop a pokerstars level site.

There is satoshi poker and pm poker which have good clients, but there isn't enough traffic on them yet for cash games.

Have you tried Pocket Rockets Casino?
https://pocketrocketscasino.com
BTCTalk thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=220740.0

I have the biggest and fastest clearing deposit bonus of any Bitcoin poker site, up to 5 Bitcoin.

Lowest rake cap of any Bitcoin poker site.

Unique rewards system that encourages players to give action plus up to 100% rakeback for beginners.
https://pocketrocketscasino.com/home/rewards

Happy hour every Tuesday and Thursday where players get 110% rakeback! This has been quite popular.

Monthly leaderboard prizes also.

You can play in browser, phone or tablet for Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Litecoin.

Was the 1st site to offer Open Face Chines poker and the only Bitcoin room to have regular OFC action.

I have been live since April last year and built the software totally from scratch.
Based in UK as is server.

Lots of features to come including desktop client, more games etc as well as a unique heads up lobby.

Feel free to check it out and if you like it spread the word.

Of course there is not as much traffic as SWC but it is growing and now #62 on pokerscout.com.
There is more cash game action at Pocket Rockets Casino than most other sites that are mentioned though. Tournaments down at the moment as they were not getting much action and I have been working on the casino games recently. Will have them back on in February

Busiest time is around 7pm EST.

I am in the lobby most of the day if you need help or want to know anything.

played on seals for long time.  all last 2 weeks.  lost a good 70 btc's.  Down to last 6000 and must move out soon.  Going to have to set aside about 2000 for rent.  Leaves me with about 4000 to grind... sad, but it happens.

seals graphics and connection sucks balls.  can't see shit when u multi.  Its one of those crappy poker maven softwares I'm guessing?

Lost 1600 at casino. UH.  losing to bottom 2 pair aces.  Losing every 16 outer in plo.  It's gotten unreal the last 3 weeks.  I don't even know what to do now.  I mean I started with nothing and I am now almost ending up with nothing.

1 word to describe how i feel right now: devastated.  this is like the 15th losing session i've had in last 30 days!

Pretty good right now, not as much traffic as Seals tho. It should be more popular once they release the online/mobile poker clients.

Is betcoin safe or sending out malware?

Some say the download is safe. I never tried, so can say for sure. I know I prefer in-browser type casinos/betting sites

We have several thousand registered subscribers and the software is the same software used by one of the top level poker networks.  It is very safe.  We are working on our browser based and mobile based options, however our casino at www.BetcoinCasino.com is browser based and has an exceptional mobile and tablet interface.  Let us know if you have questions.
