Unable to change my avatar for my profile!

You can't. Its been disabled by the forum operators for a while now because of a security issue.

its long time now is there still problem to enable this many want avatar on profile

To be honest, I think the Admin is scare to enable this feature again. I was there when the hacking told place. It was caused by someone uploaded a malicious code avatar.

I don't think having an avatar will in any way change to functionality of the site so it really is a non issue in my book  ;)

True - but some can be very entertaining - and its not really fair some people have avatars and some don't.

but hope very soon all we have as this security issues solve and admin think now its ok

Avatar is important, because you can easily identify the member by the avatar. Instead of remember the name.  :)

You seem to be right. Actually "Soon" anywhere can be quite a long time. "Soon" is the same as "indefinite"

Yeah, I wish we were able to change the avatar, it is much easier to remember a person on here from their avatar rather than their username

That is a very good point. Many times you probably don't realize you have seen a person post before. I know I recognize the people with avatars.

any update on having the ability to add avatars back to our profile?

Full members and above have been able to add avatars to their profile since April 1st of this year. So when you rank up to a Full Member, you'll be allowed to upload an avatar as well.

Read the post directly above yours. You need to be a Full Member.

After you reached the Full Member rank, go here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=avatar and you can add/change your avatar. However if someone lower than Full Member enter that page, it will show up an error.
