Title: Starting up
Post by: BraveMushi on January 24, 2014, 01:03:11 PM
I am looking to start up a bitcoin mining business. I have the money but I need a list of all the right things to buy. I was thinking of buying the butterfly monarch and then upgrade to the xtreme miners 7.5th" lion". Tell me what you think. Thank you

You should do some reading at the mining subforum.
And carefully way the risks, mining BTC is a marginally profitable business at the moment.

Have you considered mining scrypt coins ?

I was thinking of farming litecoins but not sure how to set that up.

Continue to sit around and "think," maybe at some point you'll learn to man up and go figure out how to set it up on your own.

"Hey guys! I think I want to make money. Anyone know how to do that?"

Ridiculous.

I would say do a shit ton of research before asking for help.

Start with what people think of butterfly labs...

But I'm not entirely sure what I should be researching

I just told you what to start with... butterfly labs.

I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Read this section:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0

Don't buy any equipment from a supplier that only takes bitcoins, 95% of the suppliers are scammers.

Really?

I guess you should research how to research, then. I'll give you a hint, going onto a forum and asking everyone to do the work for you is not a viable business plan. In fact, it's about the most retarded thing I think you could possibly do.

You want to just give me about $5,000 and I'll send you some bitcoins I mined? No? That's no different than you coming on here asking random people with no background info how to invest your money.
