I try to use my GPU for mining with cgminer version 3.7.2 how I set the GPU temperature visible? How I know mining something? bat: cgminer.exe -o http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332 -u user -p password My stats on cgminer are: st:2 ss:0 NB:51 lw:2448 gf:0 rf:0 What is this? :-s I started whit this site (https://mining.bitcoin.cz) for start my mining. Iīm Portugues not Czech Republic :-p I bought a antminer, it should arrive in a few days. My wallet is in blockchain, I can see uBTC on this site? Can you send me 1uBTC for my start, its just 0.000001BTC please :-p wallet: 1HiR8tC32rRSLZesdoG2xBChXdigbJoyeC Thks for read this. I thought it was a statement. But GPU Temp is always displayed in CGMiner. Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: vpasic on January 25, 2014, 03:46:44 PM wtf dude???
you can't mine btc with gpu! Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: os2sam on January 25, 2014, 04:00:15 PM you can't mine btc with gpu! Of course you can. It's just not the best idea. But didn't the OP say he was waiting on an ASIC? So he is just trying to get some experience, I think. Edit: I would rather he mine with a GPU then beg for dust. Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: vpasic on January 25, 2014, 04:24:18 PM beg for dust is sound better to me than throwing money on electricity that will gpu suck!
so he need gpu mining experience to start mining with antminer??? and you are hero member here on bitcointalk... Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: os2sam on January 25, 2014, 04:47:34 PM beg for dust is sound better to me than throwing money on electricity that will gpu suck! so he need gpu mining experience to start mining with antminer??? and you are hero member here on bitcointalk... People start and get experience with what they have at hand first. Nothing wrong with that. If he plans to mine BTC with his GPU for months on end then yes that would be a bad idea, I agree. But once he gets that experience and receives his ASIC's he may then point those GPU's to Altcoins that, people say, are still profitable with GPU's. We don't know what he has in mind until he tells us. So why discourage him until we know what he truly has in mind? The "Hero Member" is NOT my idea. Title: Re: New in bitcoin1 Post by: Bugolipe on January 25, 2014, 10:07:01 PM Yes i'm mining with my GPU just to earn some experience, my cgminer dont show GPU temp. I dont understand why!
1 more week and i recieve my antminer. Can you answer my questions? Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: Bugolipe on January 25, 2014, 10:52:15 PM Now is dead :-p 8600gts OC 8MHs :-s just try lol
Now i have onboard, donīt mining lol, maybe buy a hd6670. Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: os2sam on January 25, 2014, 10:58:13 PM Now is dead :-p 8600gts OC 8MHs :-s just try lol Now i have onboard, donīt mining lol, maybe buy a hd6670. 8600GTS sounds like an NVidia GPU. The ADL libraries which CGMiner 3.7.2 and earlier rely on, are for ATI/AMD GPU's only. So that's why you didn't see the temps. If you are going to buy a GPU I wouldn't waste time with an old 6670. Check with the Altcoin guys in the Altcoin thread to see what they would recommend for alt coins. That way when your done playing around with GPU BTC mining you can do something productive with it. Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: Bugolipe on January 25, 2014, 11:35:20 PM Hum, ok i read some things about it, only ATI/AMD are good for mining.
In relation to the new GPU, in Portugal things are very expensive and it will be a GPU for normal use. I will use to undermine the antmining arriving this week. What's better undermine bitcoins or another currency type SHA-256? My old stats on cgminer are: st:2 ss:0 NB:51 lw:2448 gf:0 rf:0 What is this? :-s st? ss? nb? lw? gf ? rf? and thks for your time Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: Bugolipe on January 25, 2014, 11:48:15 PM half of the problem solved
TQ is Total Queued work items. ST is STaged work items (ready to use). SS is Stale Shares discarded (detected and not submitted so don't count as rejects) DW is Discarded Work items (work from block no longer valid to work on) NB is New Blocks detected on the network LW is Locally generated Work items GF is Getwork Fail Occasions (server slow to provide work) RF is Remote Fail occasions (server slow to accept work) Title: Re: New in bitcoin Post by: os2sam on January 25, 2014, 11:50:02 PM Found the readme.txt? ;)
