Our kids will want Bitcoin and laugh at currency.

They will laugh at how stupid we were before Bitcoin.

HA HA HA

Better don't tell your kids that Bitcoin was intended to be a currency. Because they'll at it, too.

Makes me wonder who is the youngest bitcoin gambler? Slots are pretty fun at any age..  :)

I've convinced toddlers to play video games and how to read basic words, you can show them a lot if your willing to put in the time, I'll even have them doing simple math, because the games they play demand it.

Really! That's crazy. I have a two year old and we're always been told how advanced he is for his age, but there's no way he'd be able to do anything like that. Surely it wasn't real? Was it in the Daily Mail?

I believe remotemass saw Internet Explorer and simply made a logical deduction.

Haha good one :D

I would be amazed if I ever saw a 2 year old writing coherent sentences.

Wait till this is fully developed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=431248.0 For punishment, parents will be able to set how many blocks their kids need to mine before they're able to play their favorite game. During the entire time, the kid will see some game (read advert) they desire to have and how many blocks are left to quarry before it's paid for and shipped to their door, ergo punishment time is over, yet the kid's still quarrying away hours later about to reach their goal.

Pretty powerful concept, eh?

You read it here second.

well kids are smart.

As we were kids and I had C-64 my father even didn't knew how to run a game :)
And I was recording my first app made in basic on a tape :)

Kids are like a sponge. Put a sponge on a water :) It is like kids :) Give a kid a computer.

I remember hearing about this kid who got into bitcoin when he was 14 cause he was trying to find a new way to pay for WoW gold without using his parents credit card.

So this kid started mining at 14, after a while forgot about it and stopped playing WoW too, realised later he had still saved up the btc when he started hearing it in the news. This was around the same time he turned 18 and sold off 2000 coins, nice way to start your life.

And I don't know if that is a good sign. Too much technology since the day they were born and one power surge will make them hopeless. You should not depend on technology too much in my opinion.

You realize that bitcoin is currency right?  Doesn't matter if bitcoin lasts or not, there will always be some form of currency.

Human greed will screw up bitcoin just like it has with fiat. It already is.  Something new will come along and people will consider bitcoin just as stupid.

Wifi is a basic criteria it seems  ;) ,bitcoin still needs allot of steps to reach that level of public interest, though!

Moderation is key. I am definitely against the modern obsession with trying to make sure that kids are "never bored". TV/PC/Consoles at home, video screens in the car, smart-phones and hand-held game systems everywhere else; it's ridiculous. Developmentally, it is very important that kids get bored from time to time.

So did the 3 year old ask what bitcoin was? I`d imagine a 3 year old wouldnt even ask these things.. more like "buy me this"!

Technology is getting faster and faster each day.
And people are getting lazier and lazier with each coming day..! fat asses are increasing at faster rate too..! now we have motors to travel even 100meters , elevators to take you up to the next floors , I'm a fan of technology but only when its meaningful and used for the cause it is created  for ..!

i remember being much more oblivious as a kid. my little cousin was listening to lady gaga on youtube at 8, which made me think WTF.

btw, i think as technology grows, things come easier to people.. and they lose that sense of admiration and respect for what technology really is.
