Snoop Dog recently tweeted that he would sell his next CD for Bitcoins and deliver them by drones. There is another hip-hop artist - a woman who promotes Bitcoin.  I can't think of her name off-hand.

Do you actually know any black people in real life? And why the hell does someone’s ethnicity matter? I don't know any native Australians or Innuits or lesbians that hold Bitcoin either but we don't really need to question why that is.

Snoop Dog recently tweeted that he would sell his next CD for Bitcoins and deliver them by drones.

I don't think he was being serious.

this whole schtick is just not reachable by some walks of life.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_divide#Overcoming_the_digital_divide

wait till peoples $600 phones can accept cryptocoins by bumping them together or something... then the currency will have street value.

Told the guy that offered to shovel my walk that I didn't have cash, but sure would a kicked him some snowmancoin or whatever he wanted.

I usually find when people start a sentence like that they usually end it with something completely racist, or are in fact racists and are just trying to be as PC as possible  ;D.

I've heard more than a few comedians echo your exact sentiments.  I think one was Ron White.  Not to say you plagiarized in the least, it's a very valid point that could be deduced by anyone intelligent. Especially you, hiliarious.  :)

Just as ignorant as one can be, I'm glad this comment got no play. But I'll entertain nonetheless... I know you're just trolling, but I can't help it.

Allow me to deduce who you are; sloppy looking nerd that would nut in his pants if a girl whispered in his ear. Did I generalize correctly? :)

I know several black people involved in the bitcoin world, to include myself. All highly educated professionals who made our first mil before 30 without the aid of bitcoin. We're not fabulously rich and definitely not famous, but we're out here in the real world.

This issue has really nothing to do about the color of skin. I posed a link, but you looked over it. The understanding of the "digital divide" will put this issue in the context you can swallow. Fact of the matter is that poor people do not have the physical or psychological access to most things computer. I know a person who claimed to me that their $600 phone was "better than a computer" -talk about ignorance. No understanding of functionality or concept of what "computering" really can be. So, round about what I am telling you is that these people that have too low amounts of capital, or functioning mental capacity as related to computing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YycWNwtbaG8

I believe that rich people and our parents generation not getting it is a separate issue, but similar... Perhaps inverted? More or less they are luddites. Which is in essence, a defense response in the information age.

Like i said: Once smart phones can transfer funds in a person to person interaction, then we will see more people using cryptocoins.

I actually watched that documentary with my son a couple of months back. Learning about Bob Marley was more interesting that Snoop piggybacking on Bob Marley ..... but there is a fantastic documentary I saw about Bob Marley a year or so back. Forget the title, but very interesting. Turns out his dad was some English dude on horseback who was a manager at a tea plantation in Jamaica, and disappeared after making Bob's mum pregnant. Had no idea Bob (Robert) was half English. But to me, one of the first "citizens of the world". He made fortunes but gave most of it away in his lifetime. And never left a will, he said "I want people to reveal their true spirit" ... referring to which of his family members would show their greed fighting over his legacy.

Sorry to rant. Personal hero of mine :)

Not to be racist, but I don't know a single black person that owns a bitcoin or is in the bitcoin world.  Anyone?

Also it is very simple to test the theory about black people not being interested in bitcoins..

go to harlem or south central LA and walk through the neighbourhood wearing a nice new pair of sneakers AND an old teeshirt and write on it in big bold words "I have 100 BTC and the key is on this T-shirt"

now you get jacked and they take your sneakers but leave the T-shirt then those black people are NOT into bitcoins.
if they take your sneakers and your T-shirt then those people are into bitcoins.

and to prove that I am not being racist you can try this experiment in poor white neighbourhood and see how you go.

I'm willing to bet that in both cases you will walk out with no sneakers and no T-shirt.

give it a try and let me know how it goes...

You are so scared of your theory that "black people not being interested in bitcoins", you pick on a poor black area. Why not pick on an affluent black area - see if any of those people understand what bitcoin is. Or is that thought too scary for ya?

You don't want to talk about bitcoins - just want to talk about poor black people stealing stuff. Classy.

To attempt to define interest in bitcoins based on skin colour is just repugnant. Leave racism at the door you pathetic buffoon.

I don't think so. Bitcoin should be famous in Africa as well

How can it be famous when most people label Scammer here as a Nigerian which is quite degrading. Africa is a huge market for cryptocurrency considering how much people sent back to home through Western Union and bank transfers.

it is political correctness gone mad when people are accused of being racist when they clearly aren't.

if I tell you to go into a poor white neighbourhood and a poor black one and your chances of being robbed are equal how the heck does that make me a racist? erm LOGIC FAIL much?

It can't be denied that Nigeria is a hotbed for e-mail fraud.

They even make songs about it.

racism exists in every race, in every nation
every country has some people that believe their race is better then other races
and that is their right to believe so :)

they can think they're better, no one should censor your opinions but when your opinions start making actions on damage of other people that's where we should draw the line..

I have nothing against racist people, it's just that if you're better then everyone else why would you need to enslave them when you're so powerful and almighty just build things yourself :D

nobody is implying anything about racism existing in only one form.... that's just a bunch of BS you made up.

how can someone be a racist when they call someone out for being blinded by their own prejudice?.. WTF how does that even make sense?..

you sir are an idiot.. go and read the original statement before you accuse people of being racist.
it is not racist at all to suggest you will be mugged in a poor black neighbourhood or a poor white neighbourhood equally. and its certainly not racist to call someone BLIND... if anything its possibly disrespectful to blind people and poor people.

if you are going to attack someone for being racist at least have the common sense to QUOTE something they said in its correct context and not just repeat what someone else misinterpreted..its people like you who sicken me.. those who are so quick to demonize others without even understanding what was said...

seriously get off my back and go find a real racist to bash.... its people like you that make me lose faith in your countries education system...

If you read in context you see that whoever wrote the original quote did in fact defend racists, and imply that there is only one form of racism. Whoever posted that statement ( was it you? I'm just guessing based on how angry you are right now ) obviously came to his senses and deleted it before more people realized how completely mentally underdeveloped he was. "Go find a real racist to bash" well isn't that sweet.
Defending racists by claiming "Everyone who hates racists are blinded by their own prejudice". You make me sick.

I will probably catch some flack for this, but it is just my opinion and other people can totally disagree.  But generally I think black people I have personally known (can't speak for the one's in other places) have better style and are cooler than many of the non-black people I know.  They are better dressers, better dancers, better singers, better at walking cool and just generally holding a pose.  I think if more black people were into Bitcoin, it would be a great sign that Bitcoin is becoming cool.  Black culture has a lot of pull globally with a "coolness x-factor".

You may need to do more research as it seems you are new on crypto and you may not have studied enough to know who have bitcoin and who did not have. It will still be very difficult for you to know about what black people hold in bitcoin and what white hold also because Bitcoin is Anonymous and it is difficult to know who owns what and who did not hold.

Well some one dragged up an old thread.

It sat still from 2014 to 2019.

I have zero idea have many blacks were into bitcoin in feb of 2014 but more blacks are into btc now..

I know Mel B. Was a spokesperson for a cloud mining ⛏ company back in 2013 so that makes a minimum of one. Much more likely there where a few thousand more then that back then.

I wish I could tell you % then and now. But I don’t  know frankly I don’t care as I know there are more now then there were in 2014.

I also wish this thread was kept buried as it serves to push racist agenda more then anything else.

Edit better yet delete it.
