Title: Give me your greatest scam story.
Post by: CoinClarity on May 28, 2018, 12:05:03 AM
Hi All,

I'm a news writer for the website coinclarity.com and I'm looking for new content.

Recently I've been writing a series of articles entitled "Spotting a Scamcoin." Here are my first three:

https://coinclarity.com/spotting-a-scamcoin-number-1/
https://coinclarity.com/spotting-a-scamcoin-number-2/
https://coinclarity.com/spotting-a-scamcoin-number-3/

I'm looking for juicy, original stories for my next article. They don't have to be about a fraud coin or ICO; they are more based around an individual or company and these are meant to help people decipher the good from the bad in the all-too-often shady world of crypto.

Feel free to PM me or else post a link or two to a thread here. I would prefer something that is particularly bizarre, cringeworthy or that basically defies any logic or sense of humanity that people are supposed to be born with.

What's in it for you? A sense of justice knowing "the media" has covered a potential crime that you felt needed to be exposed, that maybe otherwise would never see the light of day.

OK thanks guys. Your contributions will all be considered, and are always appreciated.

Idiots giving ethconnect over 25million dollars.  Even after bitconnect was exposed as an obvious ponzi scheme.

Hashcard just recently scammed 5 million.

A scam Ico called crestonium from a filthy russian who will burn in hell.

Ethconnect sounds like a good start. Thanks for the tips.

Why did this thread get moved to "Off Topic"?

It's clearly NOT off-topic. Its about one of the most interesting parts of the topic itself.

Off Topic is for Newbs to increase their post count for bounties and airdrops.

An average Off Topic subject is, "What is your favorite Skittles color?"

Or, "Do you think the earth is flat or round?"

It was funny  ;D but I got scammed on cloud mining site
before. That was the the 1st time I got scam just a small amount,
only $15 but it was my money. Well it was a lesson for me to never trust websites like that they offer instant profit that attracts people I hope no one will fall to it again.

Yeah, in my #3 article I mention Cloud Mining as one of the most common crypto scams.

There's basically no such thing as cloud mining. It's all fraud. Good thing to hear your lesson only cost you $15!

I've read your articles and they are really good. Have you considered posting them in their entirety on Bitcointalk rather than linking to it ?

That's a good idea. Will do. I'll probably put them in the Scam Accusations subforum. Thanks!
