Title: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: lukeconnell on January 26, 2014, 03:12:06 AM
I've been considering the feasibility of re-branding the iXcoin. Code named: Project Evolutio Here are some bullet points as to why I believe this is worthwhile:
WHAT WOULD CHANGE?
HOW WOULD THE RESHAPING OF IXCOIN BE ACHIEVED? I will cover the costs associated with services to facilitate voting, logo and website designs. Stage 1 - The Foundations.... Make suggestions and Vote here: https://tricider.com/en/multiBrainstorming/CNvk
Stage 2) The Brand....
Stage 3) The Community...
Stage 4) Development...
Stage 5) Launch of the new website, brand and services Stage 6) Press Release issued to media agencies and news bureau's.

Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: tk808 on January 26, 2014, 03:13:18 AM 100% support a re branding of IX, this will go a long long distance
Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: VERUMinNUMERIS on January 26, 2014, 11:17:33 PM The reshaping yes, but not the rebranding. We need to keep the same name and the same protocol.

Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: FrictionlessCoin on January 26, 2014, 11:34:41 PM We are already making steady progress to refresh the brand.
Here is the latest coin design: https://i.imgur.com/PMJAFqs.png Compare that to the old: http://altcoinmarkt.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/ixcoin.png Now in terms of the message, then I would like to hear suggestions. I don't think there is a need to change the name. Any name can work, it just how you deliver the message. Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: Dexter44 on January 30, 2014, 09:48:06 AM Ok, Luke Connell.
You have captured my attention. I like your style, you plan everything, as it's supposed to be. Let's see how the new plan works. Sorry we rushed in taking decisions, but you are trying to change direction to a train in motion, slow motion ok. In order to get a successful plan, you have to create an alternative "railroad" for this "train", leading the coin to a better landscape, convincing everybody that it's best direction to take. At the moment my thumb is up. I am really curious to know how you are going to succeed. Anyway, I admire your courage and determination. Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: Dexter44 on January 30, 2014, 09:53:26 AM Reshaping OK Rebranding: unless you have the means to transform iXc in another "Dogecoin" (effective marketing), it's a NO for me Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: Dexter44 on January 31, 2014, 08:20:13 AM Can you explain this?

We need to keep the same name and the same protocol. You just said it all my friend! Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: FrictionlessCoin on January 31, 2014, 10:04:58 AM What happens to the massive premine that Thomas N. aka Old Miner did? Does it go away in the re-brand? ~BCX~ Disclosure: I currently hold over 200,000 ixc from the 2011 days. According to Thomas, that pre-mine was 500,000 ixc where half of it was spent on bounties and servers. From the technical perspective, there's now way you can actually remove it. Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: Dexter44 on January 31, 2014, 11:39:35 AM I would ask LukeConnell to remove the vote of Nasakioto from here
https://tricider.com/en/multiBrainstorming/CNvk Until he doesn't pay the promised bounties, he has no right to vote for the future of iXc. SORRY, My mistake, the vote there is Nakasioto, not Nasakioto. It smells, anyway... Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: Dexter44 on February 01, 2014, 07:32:06 AM Luke, unless you are more active on this forum, the crediblity of your proposal will be very low.

SORRY, My mistake, the vote there is Nakasioto, not Nasakioto. It smells, anyway... So does that mean Satoshi voted too since Satoshi is there too? Lol, let's not start deleting votes, it's obviously a joke unless you think Satoshi came out of hiding to vote for iXcoin. Lol. Yeah, he's never here and so far we've had to pay for the work he said he'd pay for. I really don't understand his interest in IXC given he's never around. Does it go away in the re-brand? ~BCX~ Disclosure: I currently hold over 200,000 ixc from the 2011 days. 2.5% was not massive and even if it were, how do we get it from the weasel if he's gone? My guess is he spent it long ago. At least it wasn't more than 2.5%. Many more iXcoins than that have been lost over the years so we're pretty even, except the weasel got a free ride. Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: zKarp on February 10, 2014, 02:36:37 AM Anyway to get involved?
Title: Re: Reshaping and Rebranding the iXcoin Post by: Dexter44 on February 14, 2014, 07:24:24 AM Anyway to get involved? Have you any useful skill? Let LukeConnell and Frictionlesscoin know about it. Even promotion on forums could be effective, or just the selling of ixcoins on ebay uk. Technically, we could fork the chain to basically invalidate his coins. This is a BAD idea, and we shouldn't do it. Just saying that it's possible. Also, forget about an iOS app. Hi, Thanks for your suggestion and feedback. I've taken it on board. Regards, Luke. |
