Don't store your private keys online. It is that simple, anything that is online can be gotten to by hackers and used to hack your wallets. Store your private keys offline. Try saving them in wordpad or another text editor that is similar to wordpad.

Loads of people get hacked because they have their private keys in text files on their online PC's. Just buy yourself a hardware wallet, easy to set up, this is the best solution for an average Joe. Your tokens should be safe even if you visit a fake site because you still have to press a physical button to make a transaction.

The thing is , avoid visitinf these phising sights and try not to log into your account too often, hackers are real, private keys can be stored best in paper wallets, make a print out of these keys and keep them in a safe probably, away form anyone apart from you,

I have made multiple copies and keep them on hard drives in various safe places. If you possess huge amount of crypto, you can find a lawyer for yourself who will be able to give access to the wallet to only you personally.

now what you will do is that don't save your private key online i mean saving it on your email or mainly in draft because you could get hack from your email and the made away with your tokens, secondly don't do airdrops asking to do kyc or to reveal your details, those things may likely lead in hacking of your address then wen ever you are doing a new project just use a different wallet to secure your address the most.

Try to store it in a flash drive so that every time you need it you can easily insert and get it,and one thing never trust anybody even though your relatives and friends sometimes those people will become your worst enemy here in crypto world.

I have hard copies written and kept in strategic in my house and office. The worst mistake ever is to store private keys and log in details online. I used to do it but refrained from it when I was advised to. As for storing them on hard drives or flash drives, I'm yet to explore that option

Store your private keys in a place or device that an internet cannot access.
When accessing websites that would require the private keys, always use metamask or hardware wallets.

I think that many people should think about buying a hardware wallet. Personally I have it and I am very happy with it. I also work from a separate computer, where I do crypto-currencies.

I think the best place to keep a very personal and private information like one's private is off the computer where nobody can hack into it. Maybe on a hardcopy like paper or an external drive.

This has been an issue that required prompt attention and great caution. A friend one mine's wallet was hacked and has swpet away all the coins and token that was in his wallet. I just hope we can take precautions to avoid all these because it is a great lose.

The best way to be safe is through the use of hardware wallet. You can as well use offline wallets, such as imtoken. I have been using imtoken for quite some time now and no bad occurrence whatsoever has been recoded.

You need to be careful with the sort of email messages you read requesting for private keys. Again, any website you are not familiar with, you should stay away from them as you could easily be hacked via virus attack. You should avoid sending your private keys over the media to a trusted friend to do some transactions for you. I will recommend that, you connect you wallet addresses to metamask by installing metamask on your various browsers. Metamask helps you to track phishing sites and avoid them. These are some tips to keep your private keys safe.

I use metamask to secure my ETH Wallet and its private key. I Never use my private key anywhere, because, to me, safety is the priority. I Saved my private key in My google drive. You think it is not secure? Yes, that's right. And, That's why I kept my all account info in a locked Zip file, and then I uploaded that Zip file in my google drive, Pc drive, Smartphone drive and everywhere else.

I have logged to the MEW last 24 hours and I don't get any problem with it. You can try to use metamask to give another security layer to your MEW wallet or it much better if you can try to run MEW locally (offline).
Always try to checked the URL and certificate. Never try to publish any data that related to your privatekey and for the last thing always keep your eyes with any update about mew.

You should not often log into the wallet with an online address, I think you should download the metamask application to use for login and tokens transfer, many hackers took advantage of and created the fraudulent MEW site, they If you do not pay attention, you can not distinguish which one is real.

The simplest way to keep a private key safe on the MEW is to bookmark the https://www.myetherwallet.com/ page on your browser frequently and save the private key offline on your computer or phone, and The safest place to write in a paper and store in a safe place that only you know.

Do everything to protect your wallet, make a lot of back up for your private keys and don’t ever expose it to anyone you don’t even trust. I personally secure my wallet, I printed it out and no one knows the exact pattern I put on the wallet keys so its your strategy on how to protec your wallet.

The best is just to store one's private key offline. Private keys are often hacked at the moment. One just needs to be extra careful with it. It's best to store them in a safe place where the internet cannot even have access to it.

Avoid logging into your wallet frequently, only when really needed.
Limit use of private key to login.
In private key out and keep paper in a safe place, save it on the network is quite dangerous, hackers can steal it at any time.

If to store, then on degree of reliability looks approximately so:

1. Paper purse.
2. System from two computers of "cold storage" (there is such opportunity, for example, in Electrum, Armory).
3. Multisubscription purses together with hardware.
4. Hardware purses.
5. Multisubscription without hardware. (including with 2FA).
6. Softovye under Linux.
7. Softovye under Windows.
8. Online purses and exchanges.

There are a few methods to save your private keys securely, however, even if you save your keys well, if you visit a phishing site you will lose all your tokens because when you enter the fake site you are introducing those keys. In the case that you pose, the important thing is to make absolutely sure that you are on the real MEW site or, alternatively, to run MEW offline and locally.

don't open your wallet using private key, this is very risky.
save your private key in notepad or any other text editor.
if you want to open your wallet you better install the add-on metamask on chrome browser first then import your private key on metamask.

People make it really complicated when they talk about the safety of their wallets.. It is very simple thing that you have the key to your house and in the house you have gold pots with diamonds filled in. How do you see everything? You will obviously keep tight security around it and you will save your keys to somewhere place very safe.

Its just that you have to safeguard your keystone file and private keys in the same manner. Thats the only key to open up the whole thing so why not take extra precaution and save them with multiple copies on different hardware? You can always print the private key and place it somewhere safe. Simple.  :)

Password it if you want
If there any hack indicated
Change wallet and don't use your old wallrt
Use trezor or ledger if you want to feel safer

Hahaha, you store the private key like diamond and gold. Actually it does not needed at all that kind of security mate. I do not think you have big fund in your wallets. Better concern you could buy the hardware wallets like Trezor or ledger Nano s to keep your fund safe dude.
Other than if you have small amount just install the desktop wallet which is most used in your personal handy. That is enough and keep your private key in your computer hard disk and desktop folder with the app locked.

So simple mate , make more copy of your private key then keep it on your laptop or sd card which is no one can locate where it is and no one knows as well. And also don't ever share your private key to anyone specially to those people who always offer something  for your private key 'cause it's obvious (ponzi)  and stay away also from any ads that related on crypto 'cause nowadays there are some auto dload ads that can get your private information such social media accounts and etc which one's you click it ,

Write your private keys on a paper and keep it somewhere or put it on a safety vault.

Don't write your private keys on emails or cloud storage because that's at risk and there are hackers that are targeting emails or cloud storage. There are incidents that newly registered emails or accounts to a website was used to recover bitcoins through their wallet by a site's administrator.

If you are a victim of a phishing attack then your wallet is totally lost no matter where you put it. To avoid phishing websites you should double check crypto related websites you often visit and you could also use an extension like Metamask to detect fake Myetherwallet.

You should use core wallet for all ETH and your token! You should use it on a computer that is not connected to the Internet and peripherals can transmit information outside. Good luck

I don't think that is a big problem today, I keep my coins in hardware wallet mostly and some in other platforms. Hardware wallets are the safest ones for storing coins.
