Some countries have already banned cryptos. But i am not sure behind the reasons. Could you please share your thoughts on the reasons of banning cryptos?

Decentralization of crypto is the main problem to any country because people use these platforms for criminal activities like money laundering and government officials are unable to trace them because transactions are invisible. That is the reason why government don't support crowdfunding.

To add to that it is also impossible for the government of a country to implement taxation in everyday transactions that is happening in crypto exchanges. Unlike in centralized banks where they can implement the taxation in the banks themselves unlike in crypto where all of the exchanges are from different countries.

Each country has different policies but I think there is no compelling reason to ban cryptocurrency
As far as I know, the noble reason that comes from the regulators is to avoid society from the risk of fraud in cryptocurrency world " for example ICOs " and other criminal acts

I think the main reason is disadvantages of cryptocurrency :). You should know that cryptocurrency is being used so much in dark market and by crimes. Beside there are a lot of people wanna take advantage of cryptocurrency to commit guilty like money laundering, tax evade, selling drug,....I think these countries wanna prevent this problem so they banned cryptocurrency :)

Decentralized crypto currencies are really unable to regulate with the government rules or anything mate. They can tried much about ICO and crypto currency regulations but still none of goverment achieved it well.
Then I do not what country you mean that cryptos are completely banned. As of now there is no such countries. Who are banned already opened up again with regulations.

It seems to me that the main reason for the prohibition of cryptocurrencies is that cryptocurrencies often use criminals in their fraudulent affairs. But I think that after a while these countries will abolish all prohibitions.

     There are tons of reasons as to why a lot of countries has banned cryptos ranging from care for the people in their country to personal reasons and hidden agendas. But the reasons that are pretty common are the potential of it being use for criminality or illegal transactions, another would be money laundering, and then there's the volatility.

As per my understanding, that is because the authorities cannot track how much currency is transferred out of the country and how much currency comes into the country so that they face problems in the economy. The other reason is, its usage for criminal activities.

If they want to prevent drug selling and tax evade they should activate structures that fight against drugs spreading and different tax services that should control all such money movement. Cryptocurrency is not the magic tablet and with lack of crypto there will not be lack of criminal.

There are other reasons for governments to ban crypto. And the main is possibility of crypto to equalize the difference between rich and poor people. They afraid of it. People become smart(imo), and this is a problem for them. So they "ban" the community this way. But what they are expecting from this action, or they would like to ban the whole internet lol

Yes, it's a promising and good job, where it's interesting to work. They earn well and this can not but rejoice, the most important thing is to please. :) ;)

That's the reason why the governments of some countries keep banning on cryptocurrency and one of that is bitcoin.
Each country has a perception of cryptos some are refusing there are others also embracing blockchain technology which is using the cryptos.
Illegal activities, cybercrime, and others that might make a crimen on cryptos via paying are one reason government avoid this technology.
There is also the fact that might be cryptos will become a big competitor on the bank near in the future that's why government against on these things.

The reason behind banning crypto in contrys is the economy question goverment,banks is scary to lose control on peoples who push big money in crypto thinking they grab big jackpot but not allways happens like this.Many peoples take credits and lose all then they can pay banks and in country starts influance.

The only reason is trading, some big whales are investing the black money in Crypto platform it is mainly affected in economic status of some countries so they plan to Regulation and banning of Cryptocurrency but all the countries are not banned in completely. Because it is really useful technology in future so all the countries are accepting in future we must wait see the future market.

I think it was banned because there are a lot of scammers who conduct different frauds in order to deceive people. So beware! :);)

I see several reasons for this. The first is an attempt by the state to regulate the crypto sphere. The second is the isolation of frequent cases of fraud.

There have to be many reasons.  The main one being that governments like to be able to oversee everything and cryptocurrencies are often decentralized.  This can make it easier for laundering money and might have an effect on the number of people claiming the wrong information for tax purposes.

There are many reasons for governments to ban cryptos. But personally, I find that the national government is worried that the cryptos will threaten the financial markets and the currency of that country. In addition to the recent cryptos being used by so many people for such a bad thing as money laundering, governments in countries are banned continuously from trading.

Because they can't regulate it as they wish and no one has major control on it so they choose to ban it, they may see it as a threat as well.

Banksters all around the world and their puppets want the control of money creation, inflow, outflow and transfers in general. Governments are today bankers frontmen seeing that most central banks around the world are private institutions so they have to borrow from them money for which people pay interests. Bitcoin and crypto in general grant permissionless creation and transfer of money so they are a huge danger for those that have money monopoly. That's essentially why they are trying to ban cryptos.

As for the countries that have banned circulation and mining of the crypto currency, here it is rather a formal hitting of the crypto currency as a financial asset under the restrictions of investment legislation or anti-money laundering legislation. Perhaps these countries will later return to the issue of regulating crypto-currency, when more development of the country will develop adequate legislation and there will be positive examples of regulation and taxation.

Some countries fear that bitcoin will destroy the economy. If the world of encryption begins to prevail, it will weaken the rights of the government.

Well... It depends on the case. For China, its economy collapsed because of bitcoin. People there were using bitcoin more than yuan so that caused high inflation in the Chinese market and forced them to ban cryptocurrencies. For Russia's case, as most of us know now, they are planning to launch the first ever national cryptocurrency RUCoin, so they had to remove the circulation of other cryptocurrencies to force users to use the RUCoin. Once it's released, crypto ban will be removed.

Why crypto's are being banned to a certain country? They ban it because they can see that crypto's are going to kill their financial industry/businesses. And there are countries that are not yet open to this type of technology, they are still in the process of studying on how it will influence their country and the citizens as well. Due to the anonymity of most of the crypto's it is also a threat to them, it can be abused by the citizens and they can be part of illegal activities.

It's simply because with Cryptos, every one can have almost full control over his transactions without any external body knowing what went under the carpet. So some people can use it for bad deeds and the government don't like this

Government economic growth for fiat currency. Because of the the crypto the transaction between the human and fiat money is gradually decreasing. More peole do transaction via online through the use of this online digital money. For example the online shop with btc payment. Or can people transfer it money and bring in the other country with crypto.

There're many countries who think crypto currency as their threat because cannot have control on it. Besides, there're many fuds goes on for this currency which sometimes do harm to people. That's why the countries are banning crypto currency.

Countries would like to ban anything that threatens their sovereignty.  If the user's of cryptocurrency are anonymous, how could a country tax it?  Without taxation, a country couldn't support it's military/social services.

From my perspective i think governments have no control over crypto. This is a lacking for them. That’s why the banned crypto. Another reason is government believes crypto is a illegal trade. But it’s true some peoples are used crypto for criminal activities. That’s why government always showing negative impact against crypto.

One reason only I can muster up and that is to control your people. If they have less freedoms it means you have higher control, and that is ultimately what these non democratic countries want. Sad we live in a world where a small group of individuals can control a whole country, but yet we live in it.

I think the main reason is that people earn money and do not pay taxes, and it's very difficult to catch such people. Therefore, it's easier for them to ban them so that nobody can make good money

There is an outdated world financial system. Many countries do not have a sovereign economic policy, therefore they fulfill the requirements of their patrons. I think that the blocking of cryptocurrencies in various countries is a reflection of the struggle of the elites. For example, China and Venezuela.

Government are scared that Crypto might take over making fiat worthless

Cryptocurrency has so many disadvantages and advantages. It needs big changes and goverment afraid. Because they want to keep control all the time.

Because such payments are extremely difficult to track-transactions take place by agreement between the buyer and the seller, who may not even know each other's names. No banks and payment systems record their personal data and do not issue at the request of law enforcement agencies. And do not ban cryptocurrency! They ban crypto from their country in order to protect their own people from financial crisis because they can't control it, it is also like facebook banning crypto ads because they say that crypto ads are against their policies because it can harm their users.

Well, as you know that cryptocurrency is based on decentralized process. It is the main reason to get banned from some countries. As those countries don’t allow this process in their countries so for this reason it is being banned. But now cryptocurrencies are being accepted in many places and also many countries are removing regulations from it.

Some countries think that the crypto currencies will make their national currency to fall so they don't want that to happen that is the reason they are banning and shutting down the exchanges.And other reasons are the it can be used for illegal activities and money laundering.

Many countries don't like crypto currencies. The reason for this is a threat to the current economic order. If crypto currency is successful, many rich will lose a lot of money..

I think the most reason is that they are not ready with the cryptocurrencies and they don't know what they need to do with the cryptocurrencies. I am sure that soon, they will accept cryptocurrencies especially if they can see that their people can get a better life from cryptocurrencies because cryptocurrencies offer a new way to their people to get a new source to make money. besides that, I think they want to protect their people from being a scam by the cryptocurrency which we already have seen before.

Yesterday saw the media exposed a scam ICO project to promote in my country. The state prohibits encryption to protect some blind investors and keep them away from scams.

I believe that the ban on cryptocurrency is related to money laundering. Many scammers withdraw.

There might be several reasons for a government to ban crypto. One of the reason is that they are afraid crypto currency will be hard to control and will benefit the underground world. Also, the current centralized banking system will be in danger, which the government never wants it to happen.

Yes many countries doesnt like about crypto they think it has a bad impact to the economy. Banning cryptos due to lack of education about crypto on how it works and how the users benefited of it.

Governments don't like stuff what they can't control but it can have a considerable effect on their financial sector. Also it's easier to prevent bubbles on an unregulated market this way than dealing with the fallout.

frankly the government is just stuck in an ancient understanding that they always believe. they do not see and do not want to learn the technology of the future and not a few governments get conflict and intervention from local financial and banking companies that force the government to ban crypto and convince the government that crypto is a business full of risk and fraud.

I think this is as a result of fraudulent activities in certain countries that banned crypto currency

I think the reason why some government banned crypto to their country because there many people used crypto to scam people and some people used bitcoin for buying illegal drugs, weapon, extortion and other criminal things that is why they totally banned crypto currencies.

I think one here is the news that bitcoin uses for investing in scams invesment. And since it can not be stopped it is that the crypto has been banned so that no longer victimizes other people. But I think what should stop is the scam investment because bitcoin is only used for illegal activities. And bitcoin did not create just to scam people.

The banning the cryptocurrency  initial coin offerings is the reason because most f the Cryptocurency introduced in the market in the first place panic are actually scams and the scams were draining all of the investment on the market which was depreciating the Cryptocurrencies

the government is not ready to see the change of the new era from traditional to digital, and they cannot interfere with the process of the transaction, so they decide to ban the crypto. but, if they can learn (which they already did, I am sure about this), the government can also get the benefits from the cryptocurrency, and they can get another income too from the crypto. maybe the governments want to stop the growth of the cryptocurrency before they can create new crypto by themselves and they will promote their coin to the public.

In my country government not ban crypto but crypto only allowed to trade it ,and not allowed to use daily transaction to buy good and service. Issue of money laundry and terorisme make some country decide to ban crypto, because decentralized technology of crypto make possible to make fraud activity. And crypto also possible to replace centralized of bank.

Some country banned crypto for some security issues. And reasons why they banned it  because they use it on some illegal transactions, funding terrorism, and scam peoples money. Some country, They not allowed to used crypto for daily transactions to buy goods and services

Fun fact is most of terrorism used fiat rather than cryptocurrency, the characteristic of the cryptocurrency itself thats transparent and traceable making it hard for those terrorist to use cryptocurrency

Here are a some of reasons why crypto is banned based on what I read, first because crypto, which is a decentralized digital currency where some governments consider this could affect the country's economy. Secondly because decentralization is the possibility of crime act by users with crypto is getting bigger. Then the three is Chinese governments mainly prohibit crypto and ICO because they protect their citizens from fraud (this seems specifically for ICOs).

There is no good reason to ban anything from free men.  Do not accept any one of entity in telling you you cannot use something you want.  As long as your not violating another humans freedom it should be allowed.

I think the major reason for banning cryptocurrencies is that governments hardly understand them, but most glaring is the hype about them taking over traditional fiat money and monopoly from banks. Overall government want total control and if it can't have it then it considers cryptocurrencies an evil that must be killed

Password hierarchies are a major issue for any country because people use these platforms for criminal activities such as money laundering and government officials can not track them because the transaction is form. That is why the government does not support the mobilization of funds from the community.

There are a lot of reasons why few countries have declaring banned cryptocurrency in there respective cities this are fluctuation rate that cannot be controlled by the government authority, be the basis of criminality funds and many others forms of activities against in there country.

The reason for banning crypto is because the federal reserve and central bankers have a monopoly on money printing.  These individuals also apparently control the military as they are allowed to steal from our countries openly.

The reasons for the bans are due to allegations, a possible ban on projects announced by suspects from the government's point of view. On the other hand, there are projects that use anonymity for profit or gain, and this can be considered one of the claims for government oversight.

I am sure that each govenment in the country have diffirent reason why they banned the cryptocurrency and their country. The mlst common reason i think is because it can be an number one enemy by the banks. If the benefit of cryptos was knew by the people i am sure that many of the people would after the cryptocurrency and left behind the banks.

I think the reason is very clear if the governments of countries that reject crypto do not benefit from crypto so they forbid it.

Crypto is a competitor for some countries. For them, citizens must be under financial control, and crypto violates their control. Therefore, they come up with all sorts of negative news for their part.

There are a lot of fuss and threats from government of different countries about crypto, some have banned crypto and some are still debating or deliberating whether to ban crypto or not. Some reasons include:
1. Crypto uses a decentralized block chain technology which renders government not have a centralized authority
2. It is very easy for wicked people to use this decentralized platform to perpetrate evil like money laundering and some illegal transactions
3. Because government do not have a decentralized authority, their is not way they could impose tax on all of the transactions in crypto
4. It is not backed up by any legal institution. So anyone can just come with a fake project, gather some money from investors and run away.

Crypto is quite dangerous and certainly, it is the reason many citizens do not want their citizens would lose money because of this problem. In addition, the most feared even also because crypto can be used as funding for the war. It would be quite dangerous if used and certainly many countries banned because of this.

Because the blockchain technology or the decentralized system of cryptocurrency can easily be used by anyone for illegal purposes or transactions which is very dangerous for a country of course.

The main reason is to being decentralized of crypto, meaning no one in your country can take over or manipulate the price of crypto, this is the main reasons why they banned it,and also because most of the time you can break the law like money laundrying, and avoid paying taxes.

I think there are many reasons why cryptocurrency is constantly banned in states. Governments do not want Cryptocurrency to affect their economies. Banks can not control the circulation of Bitcoin or similar coin. Bitcoin users for the transaction can hide their personal information, making the management of the bank more difficult.

The other reason what makes Crypto is not accepted in the world is that the government still want to control and manage as well as implement the financial market.

This happens in many countries. They forbid to use crypto transaction. However, there are some countries that currently provide the regulations for using Bitcoin. But that became the main reason in my country banned the Bitcoin for fear of use for terrorist funding or money laundering.

I taught because government can control the bitcoin they cannot have tax on it they are afraid to loose their income came from taxes so that they are not accepting bitcoin and they afraid to loos the paper money think of it when bitcoin became universal currency there is just only few people will going to use paper money because bitcoin was convenient and easily to use this are the reason that i easy why they keep banning bitcoin.

A lot of government authorities believe however that cryptocurencies are used for dubious acts, and supporting it would only mean that they are supporting these criminal activities, hence they have chosen to ban it from their countries. first and foremost, it is not banned in some countries. some reasons why it is banned is because there is no total control and government cant place policies that control or regulate cryptocurrency, since it is a decentralize market. sometimes also we are scared of change or what we don't understand. some changes that challenge the old system. but some government are trying to understand the cryptocurrency and see how it can benefit their economy. they also forming new policies that can checkmate the system because of scammers and fraudster.

There lots of reasons, and one is that the governments cannot benefit from it, means that they can't tax it and gain profits. Another is that it can be used to run illegal activities, mainly sell drugs and other things that aren't purchasable in the normal markets. Others says that it is a cause of scam, people lost money in this investment and the culprits are hard to find and sue them, even though crypto isn't born yet there are already scam accusations in other investment, sad but true.
