Title: Chieftec Navitas GPM-1250C, how to plug in 4th videocard Post by: uberua on January 26, 2014, 04:07:59 PM Hi guys.
My PSU Chieftec Navitas GPM-1250C has only 6 6+2-pin Graphics connectors so it works fine with 3 cards. When I try to connect 4th card using 6pin cables my rig doesn't want to start. How to handle this problem? Your rig is telling you something by not starting up

I was suggested if I connect 6pin PSU -> SATA cables with SATA -> 6pin PCIe then probably it will work. Some people are doing so, it seems like it's working fro them, other ones are telling that it can burn connectors or even the device. I'm still not sure if I should try it. Yikes - that makes it a tough call. No other way round it? I couldn't plug something in that could potentially burn connectors or worse. All I can say is there have been lots of rig fires. Err on the side of caution. |
