With one post trying to out-bold letter the next. There are very few, if any posts, that attempt to actually engage in discourse about an alt-coin.

I suggest fixing it. one can start by reducing #alt-coins launched through a github repo and Pull requests. a lot is possible if enough people want to actually start producing real work, instead of contributing to pump&dump, fraud, ...
