Title: Getting most as a low Ghs miner
Post by: acheekymonkeyuk on January 27, 2014, 01:18:50 AM
Im currently mining with 6x Antminer clocking in a 12Ghs in total. Now looked at all the guides about which pools etc and all the info just seems to overwhelm me as a Noobie to mining.

Can someone tell me the best pool in my circumstances

I have an old netbook as the "host computer" plugged into a http://www.amazon.co.uk/TeckNet%C2%AE-Power-Adapter-Cable-Chipset/dp/B00DCO9YVM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390785347&sr=8-1&keywords=tecknet+usb+hub (http://www.amazon.co.uk/TeckNet%C2%AE-Power-Adapter-Cable-Chipset/dp/B00DCO9YVM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390785347&sr=8-1&keywords=tecknet+usb+hub)

With the 6xAntminer and a desk fan in a homemade wind tunnel

Just looking for advice, i know im very low on the GHs rate and which pool would best suit me

I would say take your 12GHS and point it over at cex.io you can use the btc accumulated off of these and re-invest some into more cloud hashing power. :D Another pool I've always liked was bitminter they dont have a steady payout all the time but when a blocks solved its generally a pretty large payout.

The problem is cex.io hash is like over $30/Gh. Better to to just buy more hardware at 1/3 that...

I would point your 12gh/s over to cex.io for the merged mining. Doesn't affect your btc mining rate but you get to clock up some alt sha-256 coins too

There's also bitparking, a good merge mining pool that has been around for ages.

Bitparking is good with merged mining, but the variance is high due to low pool hashrate...

I have only been in the game for a few weeks and started with only 9 Block erupters. I now have over 25Gh/s in ant miners and planning to break 200Gh/s soon.

I used Eligius from day one and its been great! 0% fee pool and its a merged mining pool so you can get BTC and NMC (name coin) at the same time.

Just my 2 BTC  :)
