Title: MtGox Withdrawal "Invalid Amount" - mostly for the lulz
Post by: severance26 on January 27, 2014, 01:16:08 PM
I tried to make another withdrawal today. Don't worry, it was in JPY.

Their system is so FUBAR. I guess they only want you to send orders with lots of zeroes. Feel free to add your own stories if you've seen this phenomenon.

Enter in a number. I'll make it up for the purpose of demonstration, 535052 yen. That last bit is to pay the JNB transfer fee. Thinking I was clever.

Wait, what? "Invalid amount." I've either entered an invalid amount or gone over my withdraw limit. Let's just say, that number of digits isn't going to put me over any limit.

Okay, a more general number.

535000

Invalid amount.

530000

Invalid amount.

WTF?!

500000

[insert a short blurb about expecting delays here] I guess I can only make withdrawals with at least 5 zeroes. SINCE WHEN

Man, this is some hilarious shit, I hafta say. Unbelievable. Mark is going to do down in history. I'm pretty sure a reporter is going to catch of whiff of this and Mark will make some list of "worst CEOs of 2014" or some shit. It's so bad, it laughable.

Anyway, I'm not crushed about this or looking for help. I just thought it was so retarded as to be worth trying to bite my own ear.

Anyone else have this invalid amount experience? Your pain is our pleasure.

WAT seriously? thats a weird one. well there goes my theory.

incidentally i tried to send a certain amount before this as well, at a time when my withdrawal limit was quiestionably close so i ignored it. however i had sent more that time than this time.

weird... 175?
