Transportation security agents who detected suspicious items in his bag asked to examine them, and he was detained when he refused, airline and law enforcement officials said. The suspicious items tested negative for explosive materials, according to a statement from the Transportation Security Administration. A bomb squad and bomb-sniffing dogs remained on the scene Sunday afternoon, and passengers were being rescreened. FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton declined to say what the man was carrying, but she said the bomb squad used a high-pressure water force to disrupt the package, allowing for evidence to be preserved. i am no fan of the patriot act OR tsa (in fact, i have been extremely vocal against both in my private life) but i can certainly understand extra security today. Title: Re: Happy Paranoia Day! Frankly, it should continue for a few more days, as I'm sure terrorists are aware that once a sigh of relief is breathed at the anniversary's passing, everyone will let their guard down a little.

It might have been inappropriate. These are the actions of a few individuals assessing a situation, which are neither an argument for or against heightened security yesterday.
