Use electrum wallet, and while will you create the wallet, create with TWO-FACTOR auth option. Don't share your private key with anyone, only share your public address key.

if you are using erc-20 coins, you must use myether wallet with "Metamask". but use only with "MetaMask".

While you save your private keys and wallet passwords, save your passwords to "KeePass software". KeePass is an open-source, password manager. The software creates very difficult passwords for each of your account.

I will take example if you create an erc-20 wallet which mostly used in the bounty.

First thing you must enter the original website. Lets say we using myetherwallet. Then bookmark it. Dont event open the wallet from another website which dirrectly go to the myetherwallet website. It can be a phissing web.

Second, if you use dekstop instead smartphone better you using metamask for prevent phissing website.

Third save your private key and address, also protect them with password or something like that. Dont forget to make copy of the address and key for backup if you lost your memory or smartphone (i really dont hope this).

Fourth, be carefull when you install an application from strange website. It can steal your data. Be sure you check the applocation or the website is safe.

The last thing that i can suggest, Do not ever share your private key with another with any reason. Although in some case when you join an airdrop or anything which need your private key to input and they will give big reward, dont do it. Your token will be stolen. I have some experience from my friend, he do wrong input his address with his private key, and then in a few minutes all his token lost.

Every wallet has the 2nd authenticator but others are not, you only have to share your wallet address and nothing more. There are two wallets we can talk about and safety measure can be taken the same way for both. First one is BTC wallets and second one is ERC20 supported wallet.

I'd also add that you might want to invest in a hardware wallet (trezor, etc.) in case you want to go the extra mile for safety.

I think the best answer for this is to always do measures to avoid others, even people close to you to actually have the chance to know your wallet information, especially it's safety features like your password, or even the wallet itself. I say that not because I don't trust anyone, but it is from the idea that the more people who knows those details, the more chances it can actually spread and be used to your disadvantage. Basically, if you want to safeguard your wallet, you have to do necessary moves to do that rather than saying that you want it say, but you give out your wallet info like it's an ordinary thing.

for wallet security issues if you use online wallet like myetherwallet you can use and make sure to always access it properly. but I suggest adding an external wallet as an option to keep our asset security as nano or trezzor as possible.

When accessing sites that would require private keys, I always use metamask.
Avoid opening sites which you get from emails.

If you are using mobile wallet like eidoo etc, ensure you write down your backup phrase. Do not save it on your phone. Also, your Exchange Account lock it with 2fa, I always like Authy authenticator, this is because all your keys are backed up. Your email address, use a strong password to lock it and enable 2fa too. Also ensure you are entering the right websites, you can bookmark them so that you won't get phished.

Move to a hardware wallet once you have got to know a little bit of what a wallet is and what are the keys etc.

Hardware wallet is quiet not convenient for a newbie so I think it's better to use local wallets on their place and keep your keys on private or even use 2fa Authentication. We really have to protect our wallet or else we will be broke to see our coins gone.

There are so many scammers but in my experience I never had any problem with any exchange site. To ensure your wallet become safety and make sure you will never try to involved into the any suspicious activity. If you use myetherwallet you should always check the ssl certificate in your browner. I also recommend to use hardware wallets.

Store this paper or USB drive in a different physical location. A backup is not useful if it is destroyed by a fire or flood along with your laptop.

1.Never for any reason reveal your private keys to anyone by way of chats or filling forms online.
2.Always Use a google authenticator where possible

Firstly original web site is important you have to check url bar on your web browser. Safe your private key, i hold my private keys on paper. Knowlegde is best antivirus i think.

I guess it all depends on how much coins you actually want to hold, and what type of use you will give them. If you just want to trade, and don't plan on even doing it with a large amount of coins, then I guess that just keeping them in your exchange is ok. You will be using them anyway, so you need to have some there. If your bankroll starts getting to large then I advise you not to keep them on the exchange, and store them on a wallet.

Again, if what you will be storing is not a huge amount of money, then maybe you don't need a hard wallet and using a wallet like electrum is safe enough. There are plenty of others, but electrum is very high rated so you should be ok with that one. If you are going for ERC-20 tokens, then I'm think myetherwallet should be ok. You should be careful on how you access that wallet though, and using MetaMask is crucial in my opinion, so that you don't need to give away your private keys every time you access your wallet.

Well you did not mention the particular wallet you are using or referring to but the general safety measure is never to share your private key with any one, don't store your private on any mail service, always cross check before  you put your private key in any website.

i do secure my private key with a simple folder and didnt know that apps like keepass exists. how secure that this keepass is not prone to hacking and phising?

Frequent change of passwords and proper antivirus is must in crypto security.

If you want to store and hold coins for long time is preffered to choose paperwallet or you can choose hardware wallet like ledger nano s, trezor and so on. If you can't find paper wallet for some coins you can scan wallet after download before run on virustotal to see if safe to run, sometimes virustotal give a false positive detection, but better scan and ask on forum if you see some detection before run wallet.

I agree with you. All the wallet already offer good high security to protect our asset so we just need to be care.
