What is the Crypto World Cup Card Game?
Did you ever thought about having your own „All-Star-Team“? No? So here’s your chance.
Buy, sell, or trade collectible player cards from this year’s Football World Cup. The collectibles are hard-coded as unique Smart Contracts, which can be collected like an old-fashioned collectible – but this time using the Ethereum blockchain technology.
You are eligible to buy any collectible you want for its current price. The moment you purchased it, the worth of the collectible automatically increases by ten percent. But watch out!
When someone else matches the current price, they’ll automatically snatch your collectible card away.
You’ll lose it, but you will receive the current trading price and make at least a ten percent profit.
 
How does it work?
The CryptoWorldCupCardGame runs on the same technology as Ethereum. Just like each individual coin or token, each collectible is linked to one unique Smart Contract Token on the games blockchain.
In order to purchase a Smart Contract you will only have to send Ether to the contract by using the Metamask Plugin of Chrome or Firefox. This will automatically lead to an increased value by ten percent of your purchased collectible. And any time the country of your collectible player card wins a game during the world cup, it will gain five extra percent of value.
If someone wants to snitch the contract from you, he will now have to pay the new price.

Static Value Increase
The price of each unique collectible increases by ten percent with each transaction. When you buy one, watch out! Anyone can take it away from you by paying the new price.

If you buy a collectible for 0.1 ETH, it’s new value will then be 0.11 Ether. If another player is willing to pay this price, he will snitch the contract away from you – leaving you with 0.11 ETH.

The following events lead to an increased value of a collectible:
1.   On purchase every collectible gains ten percent additional value
2.   Every time the collectibles national team wins a game in the football world cup in Russia 2018, all collectibles of this team will gain five percent additional value.

Set your own price for your favorite collectible

Before the official launch of the Football World Cup in Russia on 14th June 2018, we will hold a presale - lasting for a whole week. During this presale phase everybody will be able to lock his/her favorite collectible, if he/she is fast enough.


Why do you offer a presale?
Once the presale has officially started, everybody can lock his favorite collectible before the official launch starts by proceeding the following steps:

Fill out the provided form with your Ethereum Wallet, the name of your collectible and the desired price you want somebody else to pay you, if they want to snitch the collectible away.
Check if you are the first person who wants to lock your collectible - not the highest bid will win. The presale will be strictly first come, first serve.
If you are the first person, send enough Ether to the presale address, so we can lock your collectible for you.
How much is "enough Ether"?
This depends on your chosen sell price. In case someone buys your collectible after you have acquired it during the presale, your profit will be higher. While the profit of a sell will be 10% after launch, your presale collectible will be set to a 50% win for you. Example: If you send us 1 Ether for a given collectible, its sell price will be set to 1.5 Ether.

What will be the prices of the collectibles that won't be sold during the presale?
The start price for every collectible will be 0.1 Ether, if nobody wants to secure it during the presale.

Yes, there will be all players of each team available - all monitored by our game contract. As soon as each country released its final squad, we can implement each player and release our dApp. The collectibles will look like the example card on our current single page.
In case a player gets injured, he will still be available for trading and get all the benefits (if a country wins a game and can be sold).

Well, it's a clean and simple design.
Could have focused on building a nice website like Verge or implement particle.js, but we preferred to focus on solid code for the game so peoples funds are safe.

Still, the design will change slightly on the final release - including more sections and the web3 injection to interact with the Smart Contract via MetaMask.

Are you guys still running this? Just saw your Twitter post, that you got some problems with the ETH entwork speed.

we are on it to push the players. But we will have to do them one by after another and only when we are sure that the tx of the player before has gone through.
This takes some time. We hope to have this issue fixed by Sunday (latest).
