Title: https://www.hashcoins.com/, legit or scam?
Post by: Dorgon on January 29, 2014, 09:10:52 AM
Good morning everyone.

I was searching on the web for some bitcoin mining hardware and I found this: https://www.hashcoins.com/ (https://www.hashcoins.com/)
It looks like a professional website and they have pictures of their devices on their update posts.
Their products should be available from yesterday but they still have the devices in stock.

I checked the company registration and found this:
https://ariregister.rik.ee/lihtparing.py/menetlusteave (https://ariregister.rik.ee/lihtparing.py/menetlusteave)
So it looks quite legit????

They also accept pay-pal, so this means that ordering a device from them is without risk or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

[edit]

hmm it looks like the registration ling doesn't work.
but you can look at https://ariregister.rik.ee and search on the company registration number 12490015

you're just promoting a scam ... maybe u are the scammer... this thing with "i was searching the net" is getting old , do your own research on forum, stop acting like you are disabled or something

Promoting? I am not even going to defend my self.
The only thing that I could find on this forum was: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417623.0
But there is not that much information about this website so that's why I ask.

http://who.godaddy.com/whois.aspx?domain=hashcoins.com&prog_id=GoDaddy

It's domain registrar is hidden behind a proxy. I wouldn't send them Bitcoins/Wire only use PayPal/CC with an anonymous seller so you can get a charge back.

ah okay, there are some weird things in their FAQ:

Did your company desing your own ASIC chip?
No, we use chips designed and fabricated by our US partner

What company supplies ASIC chips for HashCoins?
Unfortunately under the terms of the contract we may not name the vendor/producer at the moment.

What US company can creat 500GH/has chips? I think none, and it is weird that they can't give the company name...
