Title: MediterraneanCoin (MED) pool - ibipot.com (2000 GH/s)
Post by: eestimees on January 29, 2014, 10:18:05 AM
So here we go:

And here goes the first mining pool for the new PoW HybridScryptHAsh256 PoW algorithm!

http://ibipot.com (http://ibipot.com)

you should use the new second generation bfgminer (here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397831.msg4814800#msg4814800 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397831.msg4814800#msg4814800))

example:
bfgminer -o http://ibipot.com:3333 -u username.workername -p 123

with the new bfgminer, mcproxy functionalities are integrated all in one software, you do not need mcproxy anymore.

OR

if you want to continue us cgminer/bfgminer (first version) + mcproxy, you can!.
You will need to setup your own instance of stratum-mining-proxy (https://github.com/mrtexaznl/stratum-mining-proxy (https://github.com/mrtexaznl/stratum-mining-proxy)).

We are here to support miners! Post in the forum to get help.  ;)

hi   eestimees
if i can make one suggestion for pool
for me and i hope and for everyone who mine on pool
will be useful, if i (we) can see in PROP STATS->Round Shares or somewhere on Dashboard
current % from My valid share from all current valid share  Pool/My valid  , not MED estimates because estimates can be 1-100,.,.after 100k blocks 1-200
what i mean

Pool Valid   100
Your Valid   10

easy 10 %

Pool Valid   98
Your Valid   9

????????

if i can see 10.88 % it wiil helful  - or other value depends on  % fee and  % donation

and one more row with last round information, my valid share % and it will be good + my last round reward
or maybe for last 2-3-5 round

its just suggestion man
if you can do , it will be super

thanks for hard work

Best regards

please bring back estimated payout from block!

the estimation is not accurate until we have mined 600k blocks, then reward goes flat, and estimation has some meaning. At the moment it was pretty random..

What's the best ASIC to get for this coin?

I made what i can with my 2 BEs , but now the hashrate is over 2 TH, so i'm thinking of investing in a better asic to mine MED :)

BFL Jalapenos work fine, also Antminer U1.
All fury usb's have little trouble right now, they generate lot of hw errors with med software using current versions.
You must keep in mind that id you get more powerful asic, you also need to have a powerful CPU in you computer to keep up.

just noticed that my USB erupters cgminer window hashrate was very low...
taskmanager showed that java is using 1.2Gigs of RAM and using 85% of CPU
restarting java with MCProxy3 helped a lot for hashrate to appear normal again

look at hubs that have most Amps - the more Amps power adapter provides to usb-hub, the more usb BE's (or other usb asics) you can add.

one BE takes 0,5A so this hub should work with 7 BE's

Sorry, I have to make a little disconnection two times.
1) to changes DB settings for scalability - about 2-3 minutes
2) to switch stratum to another server - about 5 seconds

All settings remain same to miners and miners should resume instantly.

In a shadow of todays problems ibipot.com (http://ibipot.com) pool is now more scalable. It runs on multiple servers, stratum protocol is load-balanced into more nodes than before. Webpage runs separately. All server are using enterprise class SSD drives for the best performance and scalability.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience that I may have caused. I know some windows miner clients crashed during that time.

I still have minor fine-tuning to do but that should not interrupt mining but to reduce invalid blocks.

I think you had some error before "sudo make", look at outputs of autogen, configure, etc warnings are ok, errors no.

I'm back now. Before my last flight I was contacted by my ISP who told me that, email from my IP have been blocked due to abnormal size of random e-mails.. I tried to explain the guy calling but after 30 seconds it was clear that he knows nothing about how e-mails work or what is smtp protocol.. now I have to wait 48h then it is monday morning and I can contact ISP admins.

Sorry for that trouble. I will enable all new accounts manually. So most of you new guys can start mining.

Hello! I am wondering what I am doing wrong. I am using antminer u2 and cgminer.

This is the info from my bat file:
cgminer --bmsc-options 115200:20 -o ibipot.com:3333 -u username.worker -p workerPassword --bmsc-freq 0781

Please help!

you must use miner that has built for MED, like this:
https://github.com/mrtexaznl/cgminer/releases/download/v4.0.1-med/win32-cgminer-4.0.1.zip (https://github.com/mrtexaznl/cgminer/releases/download/v4.0.1-med/win32-cgminer-4.0.1.zip)

using regular bitcoin miner, will result to invalid shares that will lead to getting banned.

Thanks! Is there anything I should do to my bat file? I downloaded the cgminer you linked but now it is not recognizing my device (I used Zadig already).

cgminer sees devices but driver is wrong, loog at Zadig that each device has WinUSB driver, or if it is, uninstall all devices from device manager and install again.

Re-arranging pool server require to move pool wallet to another location. This means that all payouts will be paused. Also there might be situation when worker report that pool does not have new work.
Miners itself will not be affected, as they are connected to different servers.

ibipot.com will change it's IP address sometime soon, If you use name as "ibipot.com" nothing will change for you. Old IP will remain working for some time in parallel.

Hello, yesterday i signed up for a new acount at ibipot.com, they didnt sent any mail, i waited one day and still nothing. I searched in the spam folder and nothing again. I think they have some kind of problems with the mail service because the upper post is for same the problem, I just send a contact form on the pool's web page, but i prefer to also write here. Thanks on advance and  excuse my spelling mistakes

Eestimees, I have a big problem in your pool. In fact, my employee is working properly but I of 06/26/2014 I not received coins. But I made it! As you can see, the control panel does not have the statistics for my miners.! Writes 0 Gh / s and I have about 7 Gh / s. Where are my MED, where does my hash?
