LTC is going to have some updates coming out, not one is really talking about it yet. Could be sleeping then BOOM. I think fee lowering and faster transactions.
Do you think it still worth for long term?

Many people were saying that this coin was not worth when its prices were just a few dollars but suddenly price reached to hundreds. This crypto market is crazy anytime prices can move up or down so if you have some money then diversify your funds and invest in as many as good coins to increase your profit making chances in the long run.

If the fee is very low and the transaction can happen quite fast then many people may use it at least for small amount transactions so it may survive for long. I have invested in LTC and holding.

No, I don't think that LTC is worth long-term investment. There are too many coin choices. I will choose ETH, BTC, and EOS as the objects of my long-term investment. They have more value.

No one know exactly but if you do little bit research on it you will find that litecoin has "potential" to be great but I got to say that Charlie Lee is TERRIBLE at marketing and his vision of the coin is not decipherable. I don't understand his true motive. Example, WHY would you announced that you sold ALL of your litecoin at ATH??  It makes no sense

Yes sure, i am one of the fans of LTC but not in a long period.. discovered it last year but never invested in yet, your thread made me remember about it and so i checked their graph and LTC seems to be really cheap these days, theres a discount now on crypto market lol but i will think about investing some there.Thanks for the heads up.

Litecoin is one of the coin that good to invest for long term, but you need to know there is no guarantee because anytime it may decrease  or increase. If you have a enough money to diversify in many coins, do it. But you should make a research before invest your money.

I think the return on LTC investment is not objective. Maybe it is a better choice to invest in other altcoin.
Because other tokens have underlying technology and marketing capabilities.

I never doubted this first alt and the speed of the transaction with a low cost is everyone's favorite to choose litecoin. I think litecoin is very worthy of being in our portfolio and I always hold it.

LTC could have a good future, even the current price is surprising as to where it was few months ago. So if there are new announcements about the future of the currency it may affect to the price in a positive way.

ETH was once around 10$ , and showed no potential at the point but it showed it can even reach 1K , so there's a good chance LTC will show something to us too. considering that, it's believable LTC is a good investment.

I think it is still very potential. Not random its position in coinmarketcap is sixth. Although CEO of them give out some not good news and not focus on project but I beleive it will change strongly in the future

yes I agree with you crypto has a big risk so there is no guarantee here and anything can happen, so before doing something it would be nice we analyze to avoid loss in the future.

Of course you can investment in Litecoin,it has huge potential to grow in the crypto market and the project is also very strotng.

I don't think LTC will still do good in long term. Although it was a poor man's bitcoin. I lost interest in LTC when Charlie sold all his coins. I think EOS, NEO and ETH are better investment than LTC right now

It was considered as a very good currency from the beginning and for many investors it was one of the major currency but when the owner of that coin sold all of his coins then people start doubts about this coin and they used to say that now the CEO do not have any coin and now he will not work for it. at these times the price reduced in the market. Even the mindgeek when accepted the XVG as their partnered currency and the CEO of litecoin asked to add even litecoin then mindgeek replied that they heard he sold all of his coins. But it is in the better position because of many other investors.

As we can see ltc very fast and cheap compare to btc and eth.
i believe Charlie will make some change to make it great again. btw, i'm mining it so i hope it will be good haha

My suggestion is better you invest in bitcoin or ethereum, because what I see from the market charts in coinmarketcap from litecoin beginning in 2014 and until 2018 litecoin only increase +1,45%, far behind compare bitcoin and ethereum.

Yes presently all Altcoins are going down, even Litecoin also going down, so it’s good time to invest on Litecoin to get more profits. Has strong project and good team.

Of course it is, before I didn't think that ltc can even reach or pass $100 but look ltc finally did it. Considering the price right now is still cheap, who knows it will go up to $500 too but as we can see it may take a little longer. If you want much faster ROI of course eth and btc is ahead on ltc.

I don't think so, if you want to invest for a longterm BTC is more secure and safest coin to invest. LTC is good for short term investment though. It has a potential to grow like ETH.

Maybe LTC will be booming, because LTC is an old coin that can survive with everything that happens in the crypto world, but we also do not know for sure if this is good to be a long-term investment. For me use every moment of LTC price change to take advantage

Litecoin is not a bad coin, but I stopped expecting her to make a breakthrough. It seems to me that the price of this coin will not rise sharply.

yes LTC is the good investment for long term, LTC one of the promising coin in crypto market and its a good potential coin, if have update fo coming days then price will grow up so better to invest now because LTC price is low 

Being a an old coin which started at $5 we still consider Litecoin as a long-term investment coin, even if the original dev sold all his coins, there's still a lot of things that is going to happen to Litecoin especially now that there is a new update coming up so we'll see about this .

It's worth considering the development of litecoin was following bitcoin. LN seems to become the main reason to litecoin get another pump again in the future. There are many people talking about that right now. Remember Segwit of litecoin has brought a lot of demand to the litecoin again as the lite version of bitcoin and that's even better than bitcoin cash. Atomic swap is on the way.

Well with the recent updates i think ltc will moon. It has been a silent mover the past few months. Especially after the owner sold all of his coins. It made many people believe it is a useless coin coz even the oener don't believe in the potential of the coin. But it will move now with the new changes. I have been holding ltc for too long. I guess this is the time it will renew its game.

Litecon ecosystem is very fast and convenient to transfer large amounts of money with absolutely minimum commission. I would have to say that this coin is undervalued but that would be true in 2014. Now litecoin is difficult to say something about.

LTC is a dead coin. The founder have left it and just some scrypt miners are mining it to utilize their hardware.
It has slow development, fading community. It's only use was to be a lighter and quicker form of bitcoin which is already replaced by many other coins.

LTC used to be Top 3 ranked coin until another crypto currency boom came and they took the place of it. BY that time LTC team knew anything they were sleeping for sure but now they have started to take LTC to all new levels by making it useful for the transaction purposes. I bet that this team was very much over confident about the LTC that it wont go down anytime soon and with their lightening speed transaction updates at the start of 2017 got them some good attention. However it did not last for long and now we see LTC at its bottom. Hopefully they will keep up the pace of development and will bring some good news to reach ahead of the other projects.

I think ltc is still a potential coin for investment, but for the long term. Making ltc an investment is a good move as long as it does not become a major investment coin.

Back in December last year, when Bitcoin network is at its worst, I thought the world would need othet altcoin that is faster and cheaper than Bitcoin. This faster and cheaper network is essential for making daily transaction like buying coffee. Making a Bitcoin blockchain tx for buying a coffee would be an overkill.

At that time, Segwit was already implemented and it had barely no effect at all. I was skeptical with Lightning Network too. That's why I think an altcoin is necessary. But now Lightning is already have a working beta and its development is looking great! I'm optimist we all can see LN in everyday tx as early as 2019. LN simply makes those cheaper and faster altcoin irrelevant. So I think there's no point in buying Litecoin anymore if they all had to offer is only cheap and fast tx.

Really? Litecoin is easily one of the best altcoins to invest into at the moment and it has been this way from a long time back. The current bear market has driven its value down, but it will recover soon enough and will bounce back stronger than ever. There are so many recent articles and videos talking great things about this coin which goes to show how popular it truly is. I am currently HODLING a small number of Litecoins for the long term.

From the angle I stand which I like to call a vintage position, I know Litecoin is a great coin with a use case that will stay a long time as long as cryptocurrency exists. However, now isn't the right time to buy it. I believe it's high on its price if you are someone who likes buying large number. You just have to wait for further retracement. If I had come into cryptocurrency around 2015/2016, the litecoin definitely would've been an alt that I would be holding in large number because its price was next to nothing then. It still has the space of topping its earlier ATH before the end if this year anyway.

At this moment market is staying very low point. LTC is one of the most valuable altcoin in crypto currency. There is no doubt LTC will do great job upcoming future. Yes, I think so, Altcoint is still good for investment, now there are many types of altcoint, one of which is litecoint which certainly has good potential, and I am sure that the future development will certainly improve

That can not be predicted, as it currently has a very strong rebate, not just Lite but almost the entire electronic money market. But for me, I am still optimistic that this market will thrive in the future.
